Spike
I only got a little angry about it because when he first showed his project months ago, 9/10 people told him he shouldn't do it, and he still is. Mr.S
I tried to remake Neo Green Hill Zone myself in my fan game. I got two version of it: Tiles with no detail Tiles with detail thanks to Mechina
DimensionWarped
I prefer the top one. In any event, you succeeded in the graphic mixing without making it look gaudy.
Aaron C-T
I prefer the second and what DW said.. ..which is why I get ticked everytime someone says there should be absolutely no mixing. Some people are able to pull it off and they should be allowed to without being told they suck.
Mark the Echidna
I prefer Number 2. Also, the top grass surface looks flat. Maybe you could add a non-solid grass background above it.
Rael0505
The top one looks nicer.
Spike
If I had to chose, i'd pick the top one. Just add more detail to the squares (So that they will work with Sonic 3 sprites) and make the grass jagged, not perfectly flat.
LarkSS
I pick the top one as well. Also unless those trees are in front of Sonic in the first pic, the bottom of the trunk should be precisely on top of the grass, not a bit in it.
Mr.S
Thanks for the input guys, i think i will use the first one. Anyway here are some more screens of Sonic Destiny: Note: Some sprites need editing to match there pallet Green Forest Zone Act of Green Forest Zone Running Area in Dusty Lane Zone Title Screen Snowing Boarding Area Level Post Endless Mine Remake
Armada
Mr. S, all I have to say is that those screens are smexy. I think Sonic Destiny will turn out to be an excellent game.
MSUK
Armada: Smexy? XD @Mr.S, Those look very nice. I'm hoping to see more of this game, did you do the Bgs yourself?

Blue Frenzy
Well, this need some new pics. I has been working a bit more on the chao minigame, i leave here and in my topic some new screens. First, select your chao, there are 99 different slots, just try anything you want. You can also erase chao if you don't want to use anymore. You can alse create a new one. There are 35 different chao, and each one is different. You can find eggs on levels, there is one hidden on each level. But also, you can unlock some by wining contest or finding them all. Breed it and rise his level. It's some what innovative, not the usual level up system, easy to do, and pretty fast. Then, you can compete on some races But also, you can make them fight. There is also some objects hidden in the levels that you could unlock for buying, something very helpful on battles, but also on races.
Spike
Slingerland: Not much else you can tell from screenshots. Mr.S: Those new screens look great, like I said before though, the grass shouldn't be flat. Blue Frenzy: The chao gardens look too dark and evil, in my opinion. The Chao Fight in the last screen looks waaaaay to complicated for a Chao Garden, too serious, and to Final Fantasy-ish.
Blue Frenzy
Looking again at chao garden. That grass sucks. Actually sfa is NOT any sonic game style. I use my own, so don't care f it's too dark. Thats what evening have, not much light and lots of shadows. About chao fight, is wayy too easy, much more than it looks. Just have to select an option and chao will automatically do it. Elements use will be shown in a small tutorial. Everything else it's just complementary. If you like to use, do it, actually you don't need to. If your chao has a very high level you dont even need to move. And yes, its a role style battle, but, much simpler than most of games, specially final fantasy. This one keeps on deal damage and if you know enemy chao is weak against an element, throw magic. Thats all. Actually it can be much more complex, and there are aditional high level battles for people who wants a great challenge, want to learn strategies and improve, but don't worry, you don't need to enter that section to complete game, just like"high" rated races. Just for people who wants a newer challenge. And raise a chao is pretty easy and fast. Just collect rings. When you use a save box on levels, your rings are added to a counter. If you finish the game as one character, i am sure youll have enough rings to raise your chao to level 100. It just take 2 minutes to breed and later, any contest will be finished fast as hell. But, for worried people, also there will be a walkthrough talking about hints, and everything you need to complete all.
Rael0505
Mr. S: looking great, you're good at mixing backgrounds. The mountains in the first two screenshots need recoloring though, the deep green really doesn't fit. All of the colors seem too faded. Brighten them up and it'll look sexilicious. Blue frenzy: Seen most of this already, but it's looking good. Seems like a pretty big minigame. How is it unlocked?
Blue Frenzy
Its completely unlocked since you start the game. You just need some rings to raise your level, but maybe i put a mini-minigame to earn some rings. This minigame is not locked, but you can unlock things for this game, like different chao or different items for buying. There are from simple potions that restores health-stamina to potions that increases stats, causes status, blades that makes damage at double strenght, bullets for an attack ignoring defence, shields to reflect status, ignore damage or even reflect it. Absorb damage, regeneration, a multi-effect attack or even become a ultra strong chao for a few moments. As said before, just as advanced complement. There are also element damage. For each modifier you have more or less chance of avoid-cause damage. For example a modifier of 15 against another modifier 15, it's better to attack with a phisical attack. Could cause 80-100 damage points at level 100. An average magic user chao, but with no modifier at an element against a chao with full modifier, will cause just 40 damage. But a magic specialist chao with maximized magic power and full modifier against a chao with no modifier can deal 2000 damage (chao usually have 2500-4000 health points at level 100) So thats the deal. If you find the right way to defeat some chao, there is nothing the other chao can do. Actually, its somewhat impossible to have no modifier at level 100, but you can. You will be perfect with 2 or 3 elements, but one element will kill you in a wink. There is also status. For example, you can be frozen, burnt, petrified or paralized. Each status can make you deal twice damage. For example, a frozen character will receibe double damage from a fire attack, a burnt character will receibe double damage from a wind attack. An paralized one will receibe double damage from a earth attack and a petrified character will receibe double damage from water attacks. Other options let you heal by resting, restore status quickly by using first aid, counter attack with the same strengh than your enemy. But everything said is just as advanced complements. Ussually on lower levels you don't have to worry about this. Just on the high rated battles you are going to make your own strategies. Also thinking on a tournament mode, where using your chao, you have to defeat 10 chao on levels 10, 20,30...100. just by using your objects and some small heal at the end of each battle. A great challenge, but a right reward: super chao object, rainbow attack object and enough rings to raise a new chao to level 100.
MSUK
Mr.S: Those new screens look great, like I said before though, the grass shouldn't be flat. yes, but you would need to keep the grass flat in order to keep the 360 engine running smooth. You could, however put the grass manually on so it looks like sonic''s standing in it.

Twimfy
Aztec Ruin looks wicked. I'm also loving the crouch animation. The trick ring seems like a novel gimmick which hasnt been done before iirc leave it in.
Rael0505
Your level design looks good and I love some of your ideas, like mighty's ability to clear walls or whatever that is. My only complaint is the acceleration is insane. It looks really hard to control.
LarkSS
Same as rael said; the level design was pretty impressive. Btw, you might want to make it so that when a ring is in its sparkle animation from being touched and it's off the screen, destroy it.
