  2. Cheers was looking for that for a long time. I got looping level to work for no but it is not very smooth. I will continue to work on other features for the time being. Thank you for your help.
  3. I'm not sure how to do this using the Super Ring Engine on Game Maker 8. Q1: How do I remove the boundary at the start and end of the level, I want to remove them because I want to create a game based of looping levels. Q2: How do I go about making rooms loop smoothly?
  4. My attempted at getting into Fan Games again. I really want to make at least a playable stage. Up to now it is layout design what really puts me of game making.
  5. Don't worry about sounding angry. To me on a Sonic fan forum 16-bit means Genesis. But thanks for the tip on up scaling.
  6. This is a remake of Robotnik Winter Zone. I'm having trouble spriting the snow, I can't seem to make it more 16-bit. Right now I'm using the 8 bit tiles.
  7. Nice idea, he is a quick one I made using the above logo. It is really simple, Tails goes past in the tornado carrying the SFGHQ logo while Sonic is waiting. Basic but its short and nice to watch.
  8. @Delta your screenshots are great but don't you think the title edge of darkness is a bit unfitting. seeing that you game is very colorful.
  9. I was thinking about doing sort of guide about this. But this is what I do to get the best results. I use Camtasia. While recording you may get some lag (which is common for most screen recorders). So I suggested turning do your colours to 16 bit (can be done on display settings) for me this stopped any lag during the recording.
  10. Although, what you have done up to know is some good stuff (physics could be improved on). I would rather see a new Sonic HD game. Because we are just playing the same game in HD. I think that people would be more interested in something completely new.
  11. I think that, I know it's already been said, but past should look like it's been built. So things like plants, water features, garden-type areas. Maybe also parrots like on generations. Present, would be normal Sky Sanctuary. While the future would be underwater and broken ruins following the events of S3&K.
  12. @LH The Hedgehog Would the Sky Sanctuary bad future, be under water? Because all the ruins fell apart at the end of the stage. That would be a interesting twist on the level.
  13. It works with the cut scenes off. It must be a problem with flash files. Thanks for the help.
  14. Don't know if this is just me but I'm running Windows 7 and I am getting an error: "Cannnot use control \"Control name"\registered at {D27CDE-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000 in this computer registry: unable to find any programming interface."
  15. I like widescreen better because you can see more. And been able to see more is always a advantage.
  16. No worries. Easy mistake to make, the block is straight from Hydrocity, I've yet to edit it. I won't copy any art, if I am wanting to use someones art I would first get permission from the artist.

  18. I've tried to make Aqua Lake Zone tiles less dull by adding some colour.
  19. Here is a screen shot of Hydrocity Zone, it is not a full level. It is part of Mission Mode. The mission is to stop Hydrocity from flooding. The second screen shot is of Aqua Lake Zone, it is still very beta, the colours need adjusting (just look at the sun) and such. Really stuck on the background though. The underwater section will have fish randomly swimming around.
  20. I've created the water tube things from Aqua Lake Zone. Graphic creating is not my strongest point. Is there anything I can do to improve the water tubes.
  21. @Chronic, it looks very nice that background. It reminds me of Sky Base Zone.
  22. I need sort of a static background that follows the character (much like a parallax scrolling background) but also changes when your near the water level and under the water.
  23. I've all ready got the 3D effect now it's just adding the two background what I'm having problems with. I can't add a above water background and a underwater background without making both backgrounds huge.
  24. How would I add a water background (which is below water level) and a background that is above level but still keep it in view at all times? Much like Launch Base Zone has a above water background and underwater background.
