Looking pretty good so far Cleberson. Though if you are going to make changes, I hope that includes getting a different background for the special stage, it looks kinda scary and compared to the environment around the player, it looks unfitting. I'm also not sure about the super dark horizon line, i think you should lighten it up a bit. That's my advice to you as far as the design aspect, other than that I can't wait to see how this engine works!

Over the past year, I've been trying to find the perfect design for my fan game's logo. I think I found it.

Hey, thanks! ^^ Yeah, i know, the background will change, the "black" horizon will disappear, and the hud will be completed today!, its only a basic "test stage" for the engine, because i will use this for the Special Stage of a classic sonic game project who i working, and a bonus stage for Tails in Sonic Evolution (advanced xD), soo.. much things need a change xD

Oh, and the third logo for your game, looks amazing!, its very good, and combines with your game XD, i like it ^^

Not that my special stage was that original to begin with, I'm curious if you're going to be changing the sprites at all? Just so that our special stages don't look...identical. I've gotten all mine done and I really don't want to start from scratch

Now this is looking MUCH better! That cliff in the background though, is it only behind that one big cloud? If so, that's a good perspective shot. Otherwise it should lose more color to appear further away.

It's a fan game. They already look similar and in most cases stolen from Sega. Totally a non issue. If you want something original looking don't make fan games.

Oh yea. but, i think every fan-game creator have one "original" ideia for your game, so...

So i've been experimenting with Green Gate Zone visuals and...

So i've been experimenting with Green Gate Zone visuals and...

I don't know what to think, it looks shitty to me.

I like the new style, but it looks a little too flattened. I suggest you bring back the taller trees and mountains while keeping the new color scheme. The actual floor could use some height variation too.

The floor is still pillars and pillars and pillars argh

The floor is going to have some roots so it does't look as empty.

And i guess i'll have to remove that pillar effect on the tiles. (I was planning to do it anyways =P)

I liked the older mountains better, but Geckoroverse said some mountains would make the level look better, and i tried, haha.

So basically, it's crap, isn't it? :P

So, I started working on my own sonic sprite for my game, and here it is animated. It doesnt move as fast as it's supposed to, and he appears to move up in the gif, but it dosnt in game. also I (and zigzax) decided the head shouldn't move up, so that will be fixed.

here is a "proof of concept thingy mockup whatever you wanna call it for a hub world. you walk up to the planet, you jump on the switch for the corresponding act. It works as of right now, but keep in mind its just a quick mockup and uses the death egg (sonic 2) tiles as of now, it wont in the future.

I'm finally getting some pixels out again, so I continued the old Mecha Green Hill Zone tileset. The backdrop still needs work, especially the clouds. Thanks to Overbound for helping me with the palmtree

where are those mountiains from? did you make them yourself? they look like the mountains from aquatic ruin, if I remember correctly

That sonic sprite looks pretty neat!

And i can see where that mock-up is going, it's not in motion so i can't say for sure what to expect.

And those mountains in my screenshot looks like Aquatic Ruins mountains because THEY ARE Aquatic Ruins mountains. =P

You should change the hotspots in a way where the bottom of the feet don't move up or down.

Been poking around fangaming again after a long time... playing with Worlds and stuff. I dunno if anything will end up coming out of this, but maybe some feedback will encourage me.

I just can't get the hang of making any pixel art that isn't 8-bit looking, so I'm stuck with lifting art from elsewhere and modifying it slightly. So, of course, there are some guest appearances of the most overused bits and pieces in the fangaming world (Azure Lake mountains, Isolated Island trees) ...but how I've stuck it all together looks kinda nice.
