Man I really need to test this sometime. Maybe once I'm on my 1 week break in between watching some zbrush tutorials and working on some 3D stuff I'll be able to take some time and give this a whirl. Looks great man!

Development is going well and I'm on the last parts of the framework.

I need someone to lend me a hand with these icon graphics; they were done years ago as placeholders but now I need better ones which aren't so abstract or don't suck at all. Credits will be given as usual.

Any image editing program that supports layers can do it pretty easily! Here's what it looked like, step by step:

Ah, thank-you Blaze. Funnily enough, I do effects the same way in Photoshop. I guess that is what you use? I'd love to know how you make a sparkles and flames and stuff that you do.. Like the ones in Shadow Of Chaos, Sonic062D and such.

@Kirs: If he quit, why would he be wanting Icons for his game?

Xaklse, are you in need of an animator for this? I have lots of free time now that Mecha Madness is on hold for the time being. I could model/animate a Sonic for you and whatever else you may need. Mainly because I want to use GDK to make something...
Any contribution to any area is welcome Streak, tell me through a PM what do you have in mind exactly.
If my memory doesnt fail, Xaklse quited from this project, dont remember why.

Just tried this out and it's pretty awesome. The movement feels right and the engine is solid. The camera works well too though tilting it vertically in notches seems a bit awkward.

About 2 minutes in I got it to crash when I tried spindashing into that tiny tunnle by the spinning platform with hangbars attached. I could not reproduce that crash though. Also when I was messing around in the water the game randomly faded to black and reset me to a checkpoint as if I died, but there was no drowning music nor did ragdoll mode kick in before the fadeout.

For opinions, I'd prefer the camera to smoothly tilt vertically, as well as for it to be less lazy and turn with Sonic more than it does, so I can be lazier. ;>

That's it really. The 2D mode was excellent and I couldn't break it this time around, so only positives in that regard (and toward the rest of the engine of course).

The crash is related to the native physics engine, which seems it's fixed now with the last UDK.

That's really really weird, I wish you could reproduce it.
