Zenor
sparks, there's no chemical plant. It's all Sonic 2 death egg and Sonic 3 death egg. No, because sonic 2 Death Egg used Chemical Plant tiles.
Rael0505
It did use some chemical plant tiles, but it's not entirely the same at all.

Death egg was LARGE and it could have been made of many totally different sectors so there can be many different tiles used in it, even totally original

True_Dude
I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but most of the levels seem to flow with a certain object shape: Has anyone else noticed this? There seems to almost always be a certain spike or circular shape in the level art. Or is it just me.
Felik
tiles for final fall were taken from collision chaos past Ice zone has been taken from ristar desert zone has been taken from sonic 2 delta so you should tell this to sega
The Taxman
Actually, Desert Dash's graphics would have been inspired from my Dust Hill. I ported the graphics to Mega Drive tiles for Esrael when he asked to use them in Sonic 2 Delta

Nitemare
True_Dude: I asked Euan why he was using that shape so much, he says it's because the classic games did it. If you look at Sonic 1 you'll see what he means: I hadn't even noticed until he mentioned it.
Rael0505
Wow, that's amazing! The concept of Eggman being circular instead of egg-shaped must have been intentional. That could be why you generally see him in the pod, except at maybe one part. Even the flowers had circles. Euan's really attentive, just like True Dude. You guys should recruit him to your team. Kain
Just about everything in classic Sonic, even in the more-realistic Sonic 3&K environments, can be broken down into simple shapes (rectangles, circles, cylinders, triangles, hexagons, and the like). But, then again, so can Sir Euan's sunken ruins tiles. I think the problem that it's a little too condensed in detail. Even though Sonic 3&K has very precise textured detail in some places (like Angel Island), usually the various "parts" of the tile are at least 32x32 pixels in size, where many of the sunken ruins one are 16x16 or 16x32-ish. You can find parts of Sonic levels that have such detail, but usually they're leveled out by some really big and simple stuff around it. That's what I see with it, anyway. Guest Shadix
I didn't know Euan's artstyle was a "problem".
Kain
Oh no, people were/are talking about how this: Looks great but doesn't match the Sonic background style.
Slingerland
I should give an infraction to True_Dude for being completely retarded. Haha. Do you have nothing better to do today, son? Also, comics.

Hapi-San
Actually, Chemical Plant and Death Egg from Sonic 2 use the exact same foreground tiles, it's the background tiles and palette that are different. That said, a blend of the two - Sonic 2 DEZ and S3&K DEZ - would be very nice indeed.
