  1. Game looks good, but I can't seem to get it to run. It takes forever to load and then finally gives me the message: "Unexpected error occurred when running the game." (Using XP BTW.)
  2. New video looks OK. It doesn't look too much like a "hold right" fest. The werehog sections are actually looking better too. I'll have to actually play the game before I can pass final judgment though.
  3. This. The movement is very stiff and some of the shapes (like the ones used for the Bumblecopters) look sort of plain. I will say that the palmtree jumping section did look good, but the animations in sections where Sonic is running definitely loop too quickly. (Especially that part where Sonic is running into the screen.) You have done well so far, but it would be nice if you could step up the quality a little so it does not look like an ordinary Flash video.
  4. Very nice as usual. Here are some things that I noticed. Pros: - Nice level design/gimmicks. (I liked the slider thing.) - Excellent music. - Very smooth engine. Cons: - Sonic seemed to hesitate a little when I tried to quickly jump multiple times. It seemed worse when I was running at a full sprint. - The intro video seemed a little cheesy. The presentation for this game is very professional, but I thought that the intro video took away from that. - The movement of Sonic's hand on the title screen looks weird. It looks like it rotates too far, and the way that it moves looks very mechanical. Excellent work guys. I can't wait to see the finished game. Later this year? Is that the full game or just a demo? Retro Sonic XG is another game that I can't wait to be completed.
  5. Three quick things that I noticed: 1. The level design is cramped. It is kind of hard to navigate through the levels. 2. The time travel mechanic is (seemingly) useless. Sonic CD used it to destroy all enemies in a level and provide opportunity to earn more endings. The time travel in your game should have some type of purpose other than just changing up the level design/graphics. 3. I didn't really like the music. It was very bland IMO. Nice game. Can't wait to see more progress on it.
  6. I came very, very close to just deleting it after the first 10 sec. TBH, I am not sure why I kept playing (must be a lack of sleep), but the game ended up getting better. So yeah, just watch out for that first impression. Looks better. I would feel a little better about that. (Although I don't usually get too excited about fan characters.) Really? I couldn't tell. *Checks again* Yeah, I guess I could see that, but it is not too obvious to me.
  7. Not bad. The combination of the bloody Chao logo and the recolored character at the beginning almost turned me off. It gave me a feeling of, "Oh no, not another one..." After that everything seemed fairly decent. As far as criticism goes, I think that the flame shield's dash is way too fast. It seems that if you timed your jumps just right, you could skip through an entire level using the flame shield dash. I also found the SE a little loud - a SE/music volume option in the menu would be nice. The level designs seemed very good, and the graphical touches are nice. I appreciate the fact that you call Robotnik by his real name although I can't figure out the outfit that he is wearing. Good start. Keep it up.
  8. Nice job. You are off to a good start. The main issue that I encountered was that Sonic had a tendency to fall off of the side of the level after going around a loop, bouncing off of a wall, etc. I am sure that you are working on that, but I thought that I would point it out. Another thing that I noticed was that the camera looked a little close (Maybe it's just me, but I thought that I would mention it.) Other than that, everything is looking good. Keep it up!
  9. Looks really good. I'll keep an eye out for the demo at SAGE.
  10. Sonic Next says hi. (It even had the traditional Chao in Space billboard from the Sonic Adventure series.) Yep, but that's not saying too much considering that everything got worse from there.
  11. Now that the dust has settled a little, I guess I will comment. To be honest, the werewolf sections actually surpassed my expectations. Sure my expectations may not have been high in the first place, but the gameplay reminds me of a semi-linear platformer like Spyro the Dragon or something. The day sections still look a little fast, but I am sure that you could slow down if you would like. Even if you can't slow down, it will surely be better than the super speed sections from Sonic 2K6. While I agree that this game will not be Sonic 4, I feel that Sega is moving in the right direction and has earned some respect for once.
  12. Awesome game. Awesome presentation. Thanks for sharing it. +rep
  13. It looks like the final download count for Download Day was about 8.3M. And to think that Mozilla's goal was only 5M...
  14. Solution: oldbar It replaces the so-called "awesome bar" with a Firefox 2 style location bar. Hope that this helps.
  15. I think it's WoW. I have never played it before, but by doing a quick web search for the location listed on the map, it seems to be WoW.
