  1. is there a real difference between the paid for a free versions of this? or all all improvments from now on going on the paid for version?
  2. just played a bit of that sonic 06 2d thing (not blaze's one), i'm suprised that's not on peoples radars. its a bit rough around the edges, but its got like 3d shit and stuff in it, pretty good as far as fan games go.
  3. cheers. has anyone had a go at porting their games to other platforms, like cave story was ported to PSP? would love to try a couple on my PSP or DS - i believe saxman or taxman were working on non-gamemaker/mmf based engines?
  4. time twisted? i remember that, will need to dig that up. Is dami's still the go-to engine? been meaning to have a go myself one of these days, think there's a niche market for Sonic's Torah Adventure?
  5. Holy shit just logged in for first time since 2008. Currently playing a few sawnic games after giving generations a go. After reading through reams of SAGE stuff, most things seem dead or abandoned, so figured the best way to get up to speed would be to ask! So has anything actually been finished in the 4 year interim? whats worth playing? fire away!
  6. lookin' good, that's sum tasty level art - quick thing that struck me - your background rocks on your lava level should perhaps be a tad darker, i can see people mistaking them for platforms
  7. not even that, it's such a hassle to pirate 360 games. maybe the PS2 version though, if it's just the Wii version with decent controls
  8. i played the prototype pc version, a good diversion. how does it shape up as a full game though? it got a bit boring after the 10th attempt of making it as high as possible
  9. looking good! not so sure about the pink/purple in the background though
  10. kirby + the magical mirror did a similar thing, but the problem is it is alot easier to adapt the kirby formula of a series of small rooms, rather than sonic, which require relatively large levels to make them work. ive never been a big fan of the 'adventure field' thing, but it will be interesting to see what you come up with
  11. do want LBP beta if you don't mind =D
  12. @shadix, i said PS2 emulation was crap, not dreamcast, although i'm still sceptical as to whether they can get it working at a playable speed
  13. i sincerely doubt PS2, even high end rigs struggle with PS2 emu's as they are completely unoptimised. dreamcast perhaps, but i'd wait until they've completely sorted out the emulation for that before considering it.
  14. alright, the fact you can't see half the screen for that boss battle isn't a particularly good idea. for the chaos control i would suggest not having shadow inverted to help show that he isn't affected by the slow down
  15. i would prefer screenshots so i can check out the game before downloading it, but whatever
  16. i got one. MGS4 is pretty good, they've sorted out the controls since the last couple of games. i'm holding out for god of war 3, i only really have mine for the exclusives oh, and warhawk is pretty good
  17. or if it's as bastardly as last years one, i think i'll cry
  18. played through this once so far, and it took me over 3 minutes =( spectacular job here guys! just one little niggle, towards the end, on the the bottommost path just after the 2nd hang glider section, there is a fall-away platform. if you miss the jump, it's quite difficult to make the extra distance. so much so that i though it was physically impossible, and back tracked for a a while to try and find another route around, which i didn't, so i hammered at it a bit more until i got it pixel perfect. while probably moreso my sucktacular skills, it did break the flow a bit. i would suggest either making the fall-away floor respawn off screen like in other games, or close the gap a tiny bit to make the jump a little easier. keep up the good work! EDIT: i think it was act 2
  19. wait, you're going to put this on the PSP too? please do, that would be off the scale on awesomeness
  20. i would preffer it if they stopped wasting their time making new games and got around to porting SA2 to the PSP, as thats a game which i might actually play
  21. nice! would it be possible to have it import WMP playlists? i dont fancy remaking them all =/
  22. mkay, thanks guys, i'll definatly give that a look when i'm on my rig. is vegas optimised for multithreading? since i have a quad core and i hear that's good for video stuff
