just played a bit of that sonic 06 2d thing (not blaze's one), i'm suprised that's not on peoples radars. its a bit rough around the edges, but its got like 3d shit and stuff in it, pretty good as far as fan games go.
cheers. has anyone had a go at porting their games to other platforms, like cave story was ported to PSP? would love to try a couple on my PSP or DS - i believe saxman or taxman were working on non-gamemaker/mmf based engines?
time twisted? i remember that, will need to dig that up. Is dami's still the go-to engine? been meaning to have a go myself one of these days, think there's a niche market for Sonic's Torah Adventure?
Holy shit just logged in for first time since 2008. Currently playing a few sawnic games after giving generations a go. After reading through reams of SAGE stuff, most things seem dead or abandoned, so figured the best way to get up to speed would be to ask!
So has anything actually been finished in the 4 year interim? whats worth playing? fire away!
lookin' good, that's sum tasty level art -
quick thing that struck me - your background rocks on your lava level should perhaps be a tad darker, i can see people mistaking them for platforms
i played the prototype pc version, a good diversion. how does it shape up as a full game though? it got a bit boring after the 10th attempt of making it as high as possible
kirby + the magical mirror did a similar thing, but the problem is it is alot easier to adapt the kirby formula of a series of small rooms, rather than sonic, which require relatively large levels to make them work. ive never been a big fan of the 'adventure field' thing, but it will be interesting to see what you come up with
i sincerely doubt PS2, even high end rigs struggle with PS2 emu's as they are completely unoptimised. dreamcast perhaps, but i'd wait until they've completely sorted out the emulation for that before considering it.
