DimensionWarped
Level just needs light mapped. I had no idea Taxman was working on this.
FlashTHD
Ehh...the current one's better. The spikes look wrong, somehow. You should at least fix the arms to not bow out that much. Once again, k. Shoot me good if i'm missing anything stupidly obvious, but i'm not finding the config.xml file, nor where you're supposed to enable gamepads. What de hellz? Did I get the wrong download?
The ParadoxX
Tax, the model is great but I just think the Head should have a better connection with the body... FlashTHD, the file is in the same directory of the Sonic the Hedgehog.exe... Isn't windows hiding it?

Spike
That model is MUCH better.
Zenor
his spikes are too long I think.

BlazeHedgehog
If the quills are going to be that long, they need to droop down a little bit. Sonic's belly seems to be too small - infact, his entire midsection feels too small.
Spike
Well, I have to agree with what Blaze says. Instead of keeping the spikes long and drooping them, I would say to make them shorter and point up. The face, however, is miles ahead of the old model. The Taxman
Ok, I made a few adjustments, dami's model is on the left for reference...
Streak Thunderstorm
Still don't like it.
Aerosol
Yours has a more sonic adventure kinda vibe, while dami's just screems oldschool. I like them both equally.
Slingerland
I like the posture of the Taxman's model, but the look of Dami's Sawnik.
The Taxman
Still don't like it. Care to elaborate? My main beef with dami's model is the quills, they slope down too much, and aren't quite sized correctly: for example, the top spine is longer than it should be
Slingerland
The thing about the old-school look is the shorter spines and that's why I like the original (that and the stoutness). The new model's spines are noticeably longer and say "Adventure" to me.
Streak Thunderstorm
Which is why I don't like it.
Spike
It would be amazing if he just shortened the quills and pointed them upward.
BlazeHedgehog
I also liked the old arms position better. The shoes look weird on BOTH versions of the model, too.
FlashTHD
The torso beats dami's, and you got the shoe buckles, but his still looks more attractive. @ Slinger: trying too hard to nail a specific "oldskool" (talk about amibguous) result will undoubtedly make for an awkward model. All that matters is making something that flows smoothest when you play it. To that end, y'all should try modelling a design from the current Sonic too, see which works better. Now, anyone have any idea why I wouldn't get a config.xml file with my download?

All that matters is making something that flows smoothest when you play it. No, that's totally wrong. They are going for a 3D oldschool Sonic. And who says designing a 3D oldschool Sonic will always be akward? There is nothing in his old design that limits you from turning him 3D. To that end, y'all should try modelling a design from the current Sonic too, see which works better. Again, no. That's not what they are going to do. Just learn what you are talking about before you say it.
Quexinos
I really liked the original. I mean if it ain't broke, don't fix it

Right there.(read: way to be a smartass) Sorry you're getting it then. Slinger was basically "no no oldschool Sonic is like (X) not (X)". Pinpoint accuracy is one thing, making something that will work well enough is another.
