DragonXVI Posted April 28, 2008 Report Share Posted April 28, 2008 Getting off the cloud issue, the new Hud's ok, but the score counter (I'm guessing that's what the 30 is) is kind of jutting out blatently... It'd be nice if maybe you swapped the score and ring positions around, since the score will always be the bigger number, and bigger above, lower below (Ala the original games too - Score, Time, Rings. If you want to get some nice green hill-esque tiled square pieces, take a look at the Chaotix tutorial level: Also, the two light shades in the grass need to be darker. About that, I haven't made the animating flashing stuff yet, not even the giant, "COPE" sign. Also the mountain in the background is missing due to screen size (Or maybe I'm too lazy to make one XD!) Thanks for pointing that out. I better fix that before I forget. I used the font from one of Rougeyoshi's Sonic Dash engines. Idk if its custom though. @ Scatta: Thanks. The title is a place holder. I agree; just make a list of things to touch up after you finish the level so you're not delaying the completion by fixing all these acute details. Rael0505 Posted April 29, 2008 Report Share Posted April 29, 2008 The reason why I never get any levels done is because I'm constantly tweaking my background sets, never actually finishing them. Don't worry so much about graphics. The last screen you have looks great. If you don't want to use green hill's ground, use the actual ground/wall tiles in that chaotix screen I showed you a few posts back. Get started on the gameplay and have fun.
