DW: Yeah, but for some reason I find Sonic 1 less tedious at times than Sonic 2, I have no clue really what it is. I still really enjoy Sonic 2, but recently I'd rank it as my least favourite of all the classic titles. But I still enjoy all three of them. Also I really like Labyrinth Zone, so I know for sure I am pretty much all alone on that one haha. Water levels in general actually don't piss me off it seems, and are some of my favourites. I enjoyed Labyrinth, I enjoyed Aquatic Ruin, and Hydrocity I all have fun in.

Either way so stoked for this I got points leftover from after I bought Makoto for BlazBlue: CS so I'm gonna get this when it comes out. I like what I see personally, and can't wait to actually play it. It is a shame it can't come out this weekend, I have a holiday on monday so it would have been really nice to have that time to play it. In the meantime I did pick up Bayonetta, BlazBlue:CS, and Darksiders so I guess I can wait

So I propose a counter offer: for those who declare and follow through with their intention to NOT buy or play more than 1 copy of the game, I'll put you on the Intelligent Gentlemen's List for Intelligent Gentlemen. And my list is cooler. It has redundancy.

I'll do better: I'll NOT buy this game at all, and instead buy Shantae: Risky's Revenge, which will no doubt be a million times better than Sonic 4.

@Candescence: I'd buy Shantae, but I don't have a DSi. My brothers do. So far, I've only my DS and my DS Lite. I'll trade 'em in for a 3DS. I mean, it's going to be months before it hits my part of the world, so the wait'll def. be worth it. In the meanwhile, I'm more excited about what November has to offer, namely GT5 on PS3, for which I shall trade in Xbox 360 accessories and games for.

I heard from Slingerland on retro that if I buy all versions of this game THE Ken Balough will talk about me. I'll probably be some legendary, mystical greek god by the time he's done talking about how awesome I am for buying all versions of 4.

Sega has officially lost all respect and any sliver of integrity they had left in my eyes. The fact that stupid fuckshit of a request exists is pathetic, but the fact that it's an official SEGA request for the fans to pay them more for no reason is just....ugh.

I can't believe they've sunken this low. It was bad enough that the game itself is an advertising scam, but now they've taken it to a whole new level.

It baffles me how they do this for Sonic 4 but not Colors. Only reason I can think of is Sonic 4 is being handled by a different team of people entirely (in Sonic Team or SEGA or whatever) than Colors is.

I dunno, I think it is kind of retarded too, but at the same time it is just one of those things that you can simply ignore. It isn't really harming anyone, has really no bearing on the game itself whatsoever, and is just something for the people who they already knew were going to buy every single copy anyway just because.

I do think it is a bit stupid, but I'm not really mad over it because I'll just be taking my one copy and leaving it at that. I couldn't care less about videos or shoutouts or something, I just want my game.

Ok guys, I have the ios version of Sth4 on my ipod touch 2nd gen.

My thoughts?

First the positive:

The game is Fun. I think sega/sonic team/dimps created a whole new type of game here. It's not quite classic, but it's not sonic rush 3. It's a hybrid that is very fun and it WILL GIVE YOU NOSTALGIA. Hell, I was waiting for my school bus today playing and the Nostalgia rush you get from playing this for the first time literally gives you chills. The thrill of not knowing where a badnick will appear is something I haven't experienced in a VERY long time. Also, something for the ios versions only, this game is runs quite fast. Actually, I was running it on my ipod touch 2nd gen and I never experienced lag that slowed down gameplay (even during water segments in labyrinth). This is incredible considering sonic 2 lags all the time on my ipod. So I think it's one of the best iphone games around.

The bad:

This game is ten dollars. Did you hear that, $10 for an ipod game. Pretty steep even for people with money in their asses like myself. I don't think it's worth the $10 not because of the quality of the game (it is very fun), but because of the quantity of the game. I finished the game in about 2 hours and I was taking it slow. So...yeah wait for it to go down in price before considering buying it.

Also, I know we've all played the classics a googleplex number of times so I will warn you guys ahead of time. You will notice the physics are off. Like it or lump it. In addition to the physics (let's get this over with quickly), speed pads are in dumb places that don't need them. Also, the mine cart level and the casino score attack level are here. They are the worst levels of the whole game. Period. These last two really killed the nostalgia rush I had to be honest.

The verdict:

Great game, could have been better. Expensive. Wait for price to go down.

After playing this I think with a tiny bit of improvement on sega/sonic team/dimps team, as far as the engine and and level design go, I could be a tiny bit excited for episode II (something I didn't think was going to happen.

Yes, I know. This could almost confirm that Sonic 4 was an attempt at getting paid with the least amount of effort; from the game title, to the pathetic rehashing, to the insulting "retro" music, and even from its internet advertising and cutting all the characters out. If Colors did this, it wouldn't be nearly as insulting to the fanbase.

So now sega is telling these young dipshits that they're only true fans if they buy multiple copies of their game. Who has heard of that kind of shit before? Just when i thought Sonic Team couldn't sink any lower...

They're just thinking in the only thing that brought Sonic and all the video game characters to live: MONEY. SEGA WANTS MONEY, this is why it wants to please everybody.

Not saying that it's the whole thing, but you have to pay the employers.

And after all, it looks like Sonic 4 isn't that shit. People liked it. I don't hate it myself, just thought it was going to fail.
