Aaron C-T
Lake Feperd: That Sonic sprite you're using is awesome. Strife: I like the middle one the most, but I think that has to do with the contrast. Try putting the black gloves and vest on the green one. LakeFeperd
yay... background it still not final @Core yeah, i'm aware of that but if i change the top i would have to change the whole building @BlazefireLP i haven't realised that yet when i did those blue tiles i'll see what i can do about them later, i think i should finish the zone first
Strife
Mighty fine work there, Lake. I like how the red pipe weaves into the corkscrew path. Moo.

snow toilet
Mighty fine work there, Lake. I like how the red pipe weaves into the corkscrew path.[qimg]http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/3484/sltest2.png[/qimg] Moo. Moo right back at ya. Very Nights-ish. I like it. Don't change a thing except for when the main game comes out take out the word "demo". I also just noticed how the curve of the letter P sorts in with the planet like object in the font to make a Saturn like planet. Very distinguishing. Violet CLM
[qimg]http://i.imgur.com/16G2d.png[/qimg] Those scaffolding tiles are much too dark compared to the rest of the level. They don't plausibly go in front of the background. Also I can't for the life of me visualize what the red pipe is supposed to be doing there... based on what it's in front or behind of, it seems to be following the z-axis curve of the corkscrew path, but based on actually looking at its tiles, it's all totally flat and at the same level as the wall it connects to. Delta Hedgehog
Some more updates. Added more of a variety to the foreground, but the snow and colors on the tree needs work. No background too.
Floofy
The tree doesn't fit, try messing with the palette a bit. I like those flower things.
Apricity
The tree's palette is too warm & imo the snow is too sloppy on it.

Delta Hedgehog
I've only played older demos of Sonic Axiom, but now looking at the release thread, I see your point. Not my actual intentions, but I see what you mean. EDIT - Used a previous background I had, but I still need to edit the colors to match the foreground, plus the tree in Ice Cap seemed to fit better. Strife
That background is really awesome. Reminds me of some of the city levels in the Ratchet and Clank games.
Delta Hedgehog
Looks nice, but all the buildings and towers and such make the background seem to busy. BTW, who knows how to make loop or curving tiles, while still keeping the 128x128 size?
Sparks
Draw over existing loops, like Chemical Plant or Emerald Hill. Loops are actually made of four 128x128 tiles (or in Sonic 1/CDs case, just another 256x256).

I made a tutorial on how to make loops for genesis style backgrounds here: http://sonicunited.org/hsfqmtif/forum/showthread.php?t=5346 edit: Actually, stickying that thread sounds like a good idea. If you have any questions or my instructions were unclear anywhere, feel free to ask and I'll explain in more detail.

Delta Hedgehog
1. SEOD will be in widescreen. WS will be the default, and there will be an option to choose. 2. I'm currently revamping all of the zones except for Stardust Stadium. Cryostone Cliffs will have better snow, Derelict Desert will have updated tiles, and Shimmering Shores, well... 3. Each zone might have vertical background movement too, like in Sonic CD, MIGHT though.

Chaos Rush
i know it needs some more polish but... yeah[qimg]http://i.imgur.com/wX6Cc.png[/qimg] I think the background colors should be changed or something, cause it's slightly awkward telling the foreground from the background. Then again, it might look better in motion anyways, but I'm just judging from a screenshot.
