  1. Thank you. It was very fun to record this. It was quite difficult to time a lot of the things you see there(Like ricocheting up a tight corridor or through the bridge, where you can bounce back if you're not back far enough). Most times I'll end up pinballing around for a few more seconds or some other unexpected results. Which screws up your timeattack attempt. Gah.
  2. Sorry for sounding a bit venomous there, Sena. Been a bit of a rough day for me. Anyway! You requested Veedeeo Proof, and I'll give you Veedeeo Proof.
  3. Why would I cheat? I am very honest, and I play things by the book. I believe in the right to call things as I see them, and to always play fair, no matter what. It's impossible to do on my computer (It's a 2002 with a shitty graphics card) since it renders things by stretch. I ALWAYS save my images in PNG, and, while all the other ones beforehand were clear, that was because I was a state over for vacation. With my mom. Who has a waaaaay better laptop. Hold on for a bit, guys. I'm in the process of recording myself in sub-4.
  4. I have to agree with Serephim here. While Freedom Planet bars a rather uncanny resemblance to the blue hedgehog's games, there's more than enough to warrant it's own recognition aside from Sonic. But, anyway, in traditional Goshi fashion, I shall post my latest time... Uh, yeah...
  5. Question is, would it be worth it? At this point, it's only FGR and I who are posting times. I say nay, unless other people start posting times as well.
  6. I hate to piss on your record, but... I also realize that you screwed up a bit, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say that you'll end up with an even better time next attempt. But daaaaamn, was it hard to pull it off. So many precise jumps to make and boosts to reflect. It's insanely difficult in hindsight. Oh, and done with 1.1. Reason why I have none of the cards. EDIT: With Carol. I'm gunna go aim for 5:30 now. *leaves*
  7. Nah, come at ME, BRO! *shot* Kinda surprised how quickly I was able to do that. Now to try and get as fast a time as I can with Carol!
  8. I actually managed to replicate the glitch. JUMP, and then press DOWN as you hit the ladder. With some luck, you should get stuck. I'm not entirely sure if that's how you got stuck, but if it wasn't, then I just discovered a new glitch. It works on the other ladders. And with Carol, though getting it to work with her is much harder. Most times she simply does the climbing animation over and over again without actually moving. Unlike the above glitch, you can free yourself from it by moving. No matter how many times I try, I can never get Carol up that final slope in the boulder-dash without her getting hit. Is it impossible, or is there some other arbitrary reason? EDIT: Also tapping and letting go of down also does the trick quite nicely. Sometimes.
  9. Quite fantastic, Strife. Everything, from the graphics, to music, to presentation, is really top-notch. It's just...wow. There isn't really anything to complain about, except that when you're playing as Carol, the boulder can catch up to you as you go up the slopes. When I recorded the game (that shall will be uploaded within the next few days), it happens on the last one, before the boss. But, yeah. Fantastic job, Strife.
  10. I wouldn't go with a black outline, personally. While it does make the player/enemy/boss/misc. pop out, it just looks...jarring against the more natural-looking environment. It just doesn't feel right. The only way I could see this working is if you tweaked the foreground and background to represent a more cel-shaded work then a natural one.
  11. Pretty awesome, Strife. Love Carol's style of gameplay. But are we going to have some kind of interaction between Lilac and Carol as the story drives on? Or will we be only see Lilac in her playthrough and Carol in hers? Or will they be interchangeable throughout the main game? Or are all of my questions just senseless? About your ideas... -Keep the Act gimmicks. I recall at some point you saying how Relic Maze (or whatever it was called) was dragging on for too long. Keeping the Act system will at the very least pace the gamer, that way they don't go, "Jeez, just how long does this thing go on?", dragging a level on for too long can turn a player off from it. Again, pacing. -Lilac the Dragon. I like that name. As long as there will be poking fun at her for it. -"GET READY"? Nah. But, uh, yeah. I still love this project. I'll likely record the SAGE demo and show it off to my friends. Or something like that.
  12. Just a quikee opinion option here. Which shade of Sonic do you guys like better4? The one on the left? Or perhaps the one on the right? Oh, and @spicy gyro games, those screenshots look quite awesome.
  13. You could try THIS ENGINE. It wasn't made by me(it was made by MalcomX), but I still find it a pretty good engine. Personally, I'm using it for my fangame.
  14. Ah, space, the final frontier. It's vast beauty has no comparison, but also no means of viewing it all. It would presumably take years, many many years, to build a rocket with enough fuel capacity to travel to even 1/4 the distance of the universe, and even then, the many other necessities such as water, food, air, and warmth would have went dry far before that point. Plus there's also life itself: we would need someone who is immortal to even hope to accomplish that task, but as we all know, that's also well past impossible. It's quite the puzzling aspect, but it is one we have longed to taste for our own. It is quite ironic how we aspire to fly high, but a lack of resources and life keeps us rooted to our own planet. But we can always look to the future, ya'know? It may be inaccessible now, but maybe one day the generations to come will be able to do what we hadn't been able to in our time.
  15. Hey there. I've decided to start posting a fanfiction that has been boiling in my brain for a while. After attempting (several times, mind you) I managed to get a good idea of how to take it. But methinks I'm rambling too much. Gah. Anyway... WARNING! -This, as stated in the topic title, is a mainly T+ rated story. It branches more upon how teens will react to some things. It includes such things as swearing, sexual tension, and many, many other things. While -Prince of Tennis-esque tennis. While it isn't going to be as batshit insane as some of the stuff in that manga/anime tends to be, it's going to contain some crazy tennis that will probably make you go, "How the hell did he do that?" -It's also posted on FanFiction.NET: [insert link here. Just not now.] Anyway, I think I've put it forward enough. Step back and enjoy the show! ~Struggle One~ ~~Welcome Workout Knockout~~ The Royal Tennis Academy; One of the greatest symbols of tennis professionalism around the entire world. It had hailed champions such as the fearless Alex, his power striker partner, Harry, and the dynamite duo Nina and Kate. Ever since Alex and Harry won both divisions of the amazing Island Open, a tournament which would decide which school trained the hardest; many young tennis players had flocked to the Academy to learn the secret to their power. Because of this overload of publicity, the Royal Tennis Academy had taken protocols to ensure that only those who had the power and skill to stand up to their standards. This was known as the Welcome Workout, a grueling test of strength, speed, and stamina, all rolled into one. Some passed it, some didn’t. Those who did jumped right into the flow of their workouts, while those who failed tried again, or went to other schools, such as Factory or Empire. Headmaster Charles was seated at his desk, and his window had a perfect view of the courts that would be used for the Welcome Workout. He looked forward to each one, and knew that at least half would pass it. Of course, he didn’t get his hopes up too much. He occasionally went down to check on the thing first-hand, but usually got the okay from Alex or Nina, who had supervised the Workout most of the time. “Well, time to see who will pass.” He said, as he witnessed the Coaches, Kevin, Emily, Mark, Alex, Nina, Harry, and Kate, line up on one end of the long stretch of courts, and the recruits, which were about two-hundred, lining up on the side opposite. A teen dressed in a light blue cap, a green shirt, and blue athletic shorts, namely Alex, stepped out to the net on the central court where everyone was gathered. -------------- “Ladies and Gentlemen!” Alex called aloud. All of the new recruits snapped immediately, turning their full attention to the stoic twenty-year-old. “Welcome to the Royal Tennis Academy. More importantly, welcome to the Welcome Workout.” He began to pace back and forth. He grabbed his racquet with his left hand, which was leaning on one of the net posts. “Here, you will be tested to determine weather you get in the Academy or not. You will be tested in three skills; strength, speed, and stamina.” Alex turned to the recruits again. “If you receive a grade-point of no less than two hundred, you will be accepted.” He pointed at the other courts. “Twenty-nine to a court and girls are encouraged to play with either Nina,” the orange-haired, twin-braided twenty-year-old stepped forward, bowed, and stepped back. “Kate,” this time, a girl with wild blonde hair and clad in a pink shirt and tennis skirt hopped forward, bowed, and returned to her place. “or Mark.” Mark, a man with a bright-red hairstyle and matching red clothes walked forward, and bowed as well. “Now, pick a court, and begin!” He threw his hand upward, and signaled for players to find a coach to work with. The seven spread out, and almost instantly there were lines to all seven. -------------- “Here we go.” A young boy, who had a mop of auburn hair, and clad in a yellow polo with blue sleeves, blue athletic shorts, and custom-made teal Nikes’ stood in the line of Harry, who was the brute force of Alex’s doubles team. He was sixth in line. He saw his doubles partner scramble off towards Nina’s line. “Ah well.” He breathed out a sigh of content, and readied himself for his endeavor to become one of the Academy’s students. “My name is Clay, and I WILL become an Academy Player!” -------------- Headmaster Charles was still sitting comfortably in his seat, watching the Welcome Workout unfold. “Hmm…How many will pass?” He pondered aloud. “I hope that at least half of them pass. But will they decide to stay with us, I do not know…” “Headmaster, sir.” A voice called from the middle-aged man’s desk. “There are two men and two women in front of the gate, all of which are covered up in masks. They say they want a match with Alex. Should I let them in?” The man thought for a bit, then said, “Send ‘em up. I would love to know who these guys are, and why they want to challenge Alex.” -------------- “Dude, are you feeling alright?” One person asked. “Yeah, should you really be pushing yourself this hard?” Another one questioned. Clay was on his knees on the court. His skin was slimy with sweat, and he was wiping a towel over his face. He grabbed a bottle of water, and shot some of the ice-cold water into his mouth. His throat was dry, and that quenched it. He threw the towel off the court, stood back up, and yelled, “Ready!” He was back into ready mode. Harry, his Workout advisor, sighed, “Alright, let’s keep going!” He grabbed a ball from the basket, and fired it across the court. Clay ran to the ball, and easily backhanded it back across the net. “One-forty!’ Harry called, and shot another ball off to the right side of the court. The brown-haired teen topped the ball back over the net, ensuring sixty-eight consecutive returns. “One-forty-two!” this time, Harry put off the power and lobbed it upwards. Clay stood still for a moment, and then adjusted his position to fend the ball back. He shot the ball back towards the left corner with a skillful backhand. “One-forty-three!” Another lob, but this time it was a short top. Clay scrambled to the left side of the net, and gracefully slammed it to the baseline. Another inbound shot down. “Seven more, and you got it!” Harry called out aloud, happy to see such a promising recruit. He backhanded the ball to the left corner of Clay’s court, and his smile increased even more when the auburn teen sliced it back into his court. “Almost there!” He forehanded the yellow tennis ball, sending it down the center of the court. Clay almost missed hitting the ball back inbounds, but it landed right on the outside-left sideline. “Good shot! Five!” Another lob, another slam from the sweating teen. “Four!” This time, he hit a drop shot, skillfully hitting it just beyond the net. Clay wasted no time scooping the ball back into Harry’s side. “Three!” Clay called aloud this time, and he performed a back-step, and locked into stance. Harry tossed the yellow ball above his head, and smashed it from the baseline straight at Clay, who reacted quickly, sidestepping and delivering a topspin shot with a skilled forehand swipe. “Dammit! My grip’s slipping!” His racquet’s grip was getting slick due to the sheer amount of sweat he had shed. Harry’s final ball was a short chop-lob, and he performed a smash to counter it. The ball sailed into the top of the net, bouncing off the top of the net and landed right into Harry’s basket, and in turn knocking the metal container over. “One-forty-nine!” Harry called to Clay, but the brown-haired boy hadn’t even looked up and, dropping his racquet with a resounding Clang!, and with that, he collapsed onto the court. “K-kid!” Harry literally flew to the teen’s side, and wasted no time checking his pulse. He sighed out of relief when he found the boy’s pulse still there, and picked up the unconscious boy. “Jay! Cover for me until I get back!” Another young man ran to Harry’s station, whilst Harry himself carried Clay to the infirmary. -------------- “Huh, where am I? Why is it so dark?” “H-hey!” Clay could hear a masculine voice calling. “He’s awake!” He heard footsteps, and they gradually got louder until they rested right beside him. He could feel a hand touch his neck, likely checking his pulse. Then another rested on his forehead. “No sighs of fatigue, Harry-san.” Clay could hear a woman politely speak. Harry sighed, “Drop the –san stuff with me, please?” He rubbed his hair. “I understand that it’s common for people like you to say something like that, but for me, it just feels weird.” “O-okay, Harry.” The woman quickly corrected herself, and glanced back at Clay. “Nnng…What the hell…?” Clay’s eyes shot open, revealing his chocolate-brown orbs. “Why am I here?” Harry coughed loudly, attracting Clay’s attention. “You passed out. I guess the continual punishment caused you to shut down.” “Great.” The brown-haired boy blew out a gust of air. “Did I at least pass?” “Yes. I would say probably, but you blew me away with your skill.” “Good.” Clay sighed again, and his eyelids drooped slightly. “Now, can I sleep?” Harry stood up, and began to leave, “I’ll let you do that. Tanaka?” The burly man called, and a woman dressed in scrubs came in from another room. “Gas ‘em.” He whispered in her ear. She went up to Clay’s bed, pulled a breathing mask from a table, and proceeded to put it over his mouth and nose. “Sweet dreams…” She began to trail off as Clay’s eyes closed and fell asleep. ~END~ -------------- Uh, Review?
  16. Game Maker 8 is what I use. But I also experimented with MMF2 once upon a time.
  17. Agreed. It's my first use of dropbox so I'm still getting used to the damn thing. I'll move 'em tommorrow morning. I doubt my 3DS supports downloading. Not like I could edit the links anyhow.. (And yes, it IS from my 3DS. Take that, society!) EDIT: Should be alright now. I hope. If not, I'm gonna be pissed at myself.
  18. Hey. I draw. My friends say I can draw. Me, personally, not seeing it. There's also this. Oh, and *blush* this. It's justa sketch...*blush* There's more, but it's elsewhere right now. (Yeah, I know it's not that good. Bleh.) Oh, and for those unfortunate enough to not be able to see the pictures... First: Click! Second: Click! Third: Click!
  19. The music is pretty kickass, Ristar. Actually, I might ask you to do a ST for a future game I'm making, but it'll probably be later in the year or early 2013. But only if you're available at said time.
  20. Such a stupid little fuck this bill is. Besides, if the bill does pass, Obama won't be pres next year. Why? He used the interwebs for his campaigning, and this will ruin his chances in this year's election. Also, it's a violation of our 1st Amendment. We have the right to post such things. Besides, if companies didn't want their shit plastered all over YT and Facebook, then they should take care of it themselves. And besides, when the local congressman goes home to check his Facebook only to realize that the site is blocked, he'll realize just how fucked up the bill was. It's a simple case of veto. Done and done.
  21. Voice Actors, huh? I have some talent in theatre/acting/voice-morph/whatever, so if I get a decent mic, I may give it a shot, Strife. But that's your call. (Hopefully I'll be able to start doing that soon enough. I still have plenty of cash left over from Christmas and my Birthday is on the 19th...) But, yeah, best of luck with this project, Strife. I'll even wish you a happy new year since I'm here right now.
  22. Getting close to being four hours until that ball drops over here. Anyway, I've had a whole fuckton of fun here, guys. And I want to make this next year even better. So, let's all sit back, have a beer, and set off some fireworks. HAPPY NEW YEAR SFGHQ! ~Goshi68 (Oh, and we won't die this year. Just sayin'.)
  23. Sweet, Lake. I'll start playing it now. I'll gripe about my finals later.
