  1. Thank you. It was very fun to record this. It was quite difficult to time a lot of the things you see there(Like ricocheting up a tight corridor or through the bridge, where you can bounce back if you're not back far enough). Most times I'll end up pinballing around for a few more seconds or some other unexpected results. Which screws up your timeattack attempt. Gah.
  2. Sorry for sounding a bit venomous there, Sena. Been a bit of a rough day for me. Anyway! You requested Veedeeo Proof, and I'll give you Veedeeo Proof.
  3. Why would I cheat? I am very honest, and I play things by the book. I believe in the right to call things as I see them, and to always play fair, no matter what. It's impossible to do on my computer (It's a 2002 with a shitty graphics card) since it renders things by stretch. I ALWAYS save my images in PNG, and, while all the other ones beforehand were clear, that was because I was a state over for vacation. With my mom. Who has a waaaaay better laptop. Hold on for a bit, guys. I'm in the process of recording myself in sub-4.
  4. I have to agree with Serephim here. While Freedom Planet bars a rather uncanny resemblance to the blue hedgehog's games, there's more than enough to warrant it's own recognition aside from Sonic. But, anyway, in traditional Goshi fashion, I shall post my latest time... Uh, yeah...
  5. Question is, would it be worth it? At this point, it's only FGR and I who are posting times. I say nay, unless other people start posting times as well.
  6. I hate to piss on your record, but... I also realize that you screwed up a bit, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say that you'll end up with an even better time next attempt. But daaaaamn, was it hard to pull it off. So many precise jumps to make and boosts to reflect. It's insanely difficult in hindsight. Oh, and done with 1.1. Reason why I have none of the cards. EDIT: With Carol. I'm gunna go aim for 5:30 now. *leaves*
  7. Nah, come at ME, BRO! *shot* Kinda surprised how quickly I was able to do that. Now to try and get as fast a time as I can with Carol!
  8. I actually managed to replicate the glitch. JUMP, and then press DOWN as you hit the ladder. With some luck, you should get stuck. I'm not entirely sure if that's how you got stuck, but if it wasn't, then I just discovered a new glitch. It works on the other ladders. And with Carol, though getting it to work with her is much harder. Most times she simply does the climbing animation over and over again without actually moving. Unlike the above glitch, you can free yourself from it by moving. No matter how many times I try, I can never get Carol up that final slope in the boulder-dash without her getting hit. Is it impossible, or is there some other arbitrary reason? EDIT: Also tapping and letting go of down also does the trick quite nicely. Sometimes.
  9. Quite fantastic, Strife. Everything, from the graphics, to music, to presentation, is really top-notch. It's just...wow. There isn't really anything to complain about, except that when you're playing as Carol, the boulder can catch up to you as you go up the slopes. When I recorded the game (that shall will be uploaded within the next few days), it happens on the last one, before the boss. But, yeah. Fantastic job, Strife.
  10. I wouldn't go with a black outline, personally. While it does make the player/enemy/boss/misc. pop out, it just looks...jarring against the more natural-looking environment. It just doesn't feel right. The only way I could see this working is if you tweaked the foreground and background to represent a more cel-shaded work then a natural one.
  11. Pretty awesome, Strife. Love Carol's style of gameplay. But are we going to have some kind of interaction between Lilac and Carol as the story drives on? Or will we be only see Lilac in her playthrough and Carol in hers? Or will they be interchangeable throughout the main game? Or are all of my questions just senseless? About your ideas... -Keep the Act gimmicks. I recall at some point you saying how Relic Maze (or whatever it was called) was dragging on for too long. Keeping the Act system will at the very least pace the gamer, that way they don't go, "Jeez, just how long does this thing go on?", dragging a level on for too long can turn a player off from it. Again, pacing. -Lilac the Dragon. I like that name. As long as there will be poking fun at her for it. -"GET READY"? Nah. But, uh, yeah. I still love this project. I'll likely record the SAGE demo and show it off to my friends. Or something like that.
  12. Just a quikee opinion option here. Which shade of Sonic do you guys like better4? The one on the left? Or perhaps the one on the right? Oh, and @spicy gyro games, those screenshots look quite awesome.
  13. You could try THIS ENGINE. It wasn't made by me(it was made by MalcomX), but I still find it a pretty good engine. Personally, I'm using it for my fangame.
  14. Ah, space, the final frontier. It's vast beauty has no comparison, but also no means of viewing it all. It would presumably take years, many many years, to build a rocket with enough fuel capacity to travel to even 1/4 the distance of the universe, and even then, the many other necessities such as water, food, air, and warmth would have went dry far before that point. Plus there's also life itself: we would need someone who is immortal to even hope to accomplish that task, but as we all know, that's also well past impossible. It's quite the puzzling aspect, but it is one we have longed to taste for our own. It is quite ironic how we aspire to fly high, but a lack of resources and life keeps us rooted to our own planet. But we can always look to the future, ya'know? It may be inaccessible now, but maybe one day the generations to come will be able to do what we hadn't been able to in our time.
