Sonic 4 Thread

Sorry but I completely don't know what are you talking about.

What's wrong with TSSZ and what's the problem?

BTW It's kinda funny that "Sonic 4's new super-duper awsome exciting Sonic's ability" is just jump-dash.

That'd better be Super peel-out... but what am I talking about. Peel-out doesn't give "sense of speed" that jump-dash does.

jump dash? Really?

for the life of me i cant find out why they didnt just make the game 16 bit with the Sonic and Knuckles engine. Do what Capcom did and develop the game like it was for Genesis hardware, sound, graphics, engine and all. This is a pathetic attempt in my opinion, and if it isnt at least EQUAL to Sonic 2 its going to be a huge blow to the fanbase. Well not like the fanbase cares. They'll buy the shit anyway. I dont think im going to get this game. After I paid for Shadow i will stand by my refusal to support them until they give a damn.

really hope it plays well and commits to memory.

Maybe Capcom would sue?

yeah thats unlikely

But saying they don't give a damn right now is just ignorant. Seriously. They care, but they can't satisfy your high standards.

Any game that is equal to Sonic 2 would be an amazing thing beyond belief, so I highly doubt that being slightly below that would be a huge blow to the fanbase.

They can, however, take out a few of those dash panels and allow us to see more of what's coming ahead and not have springs toss us all over the place. And "high standards" makes it sound like he's setting the bar impossibly high when all he's really suggesting is something that Capcom recently did. Invariably it can't really be that hard, then.

Well not like the fanbase cares. They'll buy the shit anyway.

I can assure you I haven't bought a damn thing since my last disappointment. What little money I don't put towards school or social life goes to things I enjoy.

Funny how both MM9 and MM10 were developed by Inti Creates, known for the MMZ and MMZX series (which have as much in common with the classic MM games as the Rush games have with the classic Sonic games), and headed by Inafune, and both games turned out awesome, and yet we have Sonic 4, made by Dimps, known for the Advances and Rushes (and Pocket Adventure) and lead by Iizuka, yet this game is looking increasingly cringe-worthy to me.

Oh, right, Inafune actually has a fucking clue on how to make a good game and Inti Creates don't do shitty physics. I forgot.

Yeah because you've totally played the game, so you can totally give us confirmation how bad the physics might or might not be.

Sorry, but hearing people complain about something they've only viewed, and not actually been able to try out yet is really getting to my nerves. :1 I can understand having some opinion on Sonic 4, but this seems a bit far. At least give it a CHANCE before totally bashing it, and chance means actually play it, not "watch more leaked videos." I'm optimistic and hopeful for the game, but like you guys, I'm a bit worried about the speed and engine issues. I can't watch the video and actually "know" how bad or good the engine will play out, I can get a bit of an idea, but I can't confirm my theories.

Sparks, shut up, at this point we've seen videos of like half the bloody game and anyone with two eyes can see that acceleration is completely dicked up. I get it, you don't like it when people act like negative Nancys, but at this point if people have negative opinions they are pretty valid.

I am the terror that flaps in the night... I am the weirdo that sits next to you on the bus!

Sparks, shut up,
That's not called for. Now you just look rude. I may be annoyed by y'all, but it doesn't mean I should tell you to shut up.

The nerve of some people. :l

I just saw the new leaked videos. Casino Street Act 2 has a 100,000,000 point challenge.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-

edit: Oh good you don't have to get that many points. Huh. So we've seen only two bottomless pits so far; one in Lost Labyrinth and one in Casino Street. The fact it's in Act 3 seems to be alluding to Spring Yards pit of doom.

Contrary to popular belief, a video shows you what's going on.

PS: Sometimes all we've had to go off of for fangames here are videos and screens, and no one complains when judgement is passed then.

Oh? I suppose bluntly telling you to shut up was somehow ruder than sarcastically telling someone off before even looking at what they are talking about?

I would have to agree it's the lesser of two evils, especially with the fact you flat out said it. I was showing the error in their statement, I wasn't telling them to shut their trap. Don't try to make your action look any more acceptable.

Then why are we complaining now? I've seen fan games much worse than this get praise.

The arguments off topic now though, I'm noticing. Now we're just chewing at each other.

Wait.. you're kidding right? This is a professional company. With multiple people, resources and money.. it's their job. A joke, right?

Then why are we complaining now?

Let's read what I said again: "no one complains when judgement is passed [on fangames]." So, no, I have no idea why you're complaining. Feel free to share.

If we're not allowed to complain/comment/praise the game, why have a thread?

I don't mind if people complain, as long as it makes sense. Seeing people so pessimistic about a game they haven't even seen in person yet is just depressing. This seems common with a lot of Sonic fans, and I don't know why. :x

No, Sonic 4 seems to be doing better than most fangames. Most fangames, including my own, don't even use original material for starters.

I.. don't follow. o_O
