(But now that I think of it, those popping bubbles from Triple Trouble might be a nice addition...)

That was my favorite part of Meta Junglira. =D I remember spending extra time in that level to make sure I popped every single one. xD If you want to make it feel more like MJ, you could give the wood more of a gold/yellow tint to it as well.

Also, will there be an equivalent to Tidal Plant Zone in the game?

Hello, here is another piece of graphic I made.

They can be whatever you want them to be but mostly were to be used as a trunk of a palm tree or as Betaman stated a pillar.

I can also see it as a piece of decor for a desert level of types.

These are both free to use as I am no longer using them.

I figured why let these go to waste, someone might like them.

I am very new to graphic making so be gentle with the criticism. ;)

Actually if you don't mind I'd like to use those for some level art in my game. It CAN work as a palmtree trunk. I noticed this after looking at Sonic CD's PalmTree Panic Past version.

Like I said, free to use.

This is excellent that someone wants to use it rather than it going to waste.

A simple example of the re-shading of the third games look.

The standalone/idle sprite is a bit tweaked.

Not much.

I know I'm doing something wrong with the shading as I'm attempting graphics that resemble that of a Playstation/Saturn.

Currently, about 25 to 28 colors have been used.

Is this enough?

Obviously, I plan to change the entire look of the sprites but by basing it on the third game.

I did this in paint.

Just my opinion, but I think there needs to be more contrast. The whole thing is too bright. If it were on playstation or saturn, it would have a lot more of a variety of lights and darks. His muzzle also looks... yellow? I'm colorblind though, so don't take that too seriously.

I noticed the shots I posted from my Pokemon Rumble 2D project are gone, so here's some new ones:

90prumble0.th.gif88prumble1.th.gif18prumble2.th.gif44prumble3.th.gif

The stages were ripped and edited from these GBA games:

Pokemon Mystery dungeon

Bomberman tournament

Super Dodge Ball Advance

Kirby and the Magic Mirror

These will be the only few stages for battle mode for a while, but story mode will have a much different scenery.

What do you guys think about it

I like it. Especially I like the drums and the synths, and the slap bass too, in other words, I like the whole track. It creates some special mood that I felt while playing Sonic 1 when I was a kid.

As a I.

That's why it's so difficult to tell.

I might try to use custom colors but in Adobe Photoshop this time around.

You are right though, it does need more contrast.

Since you're going for a Saturn look, you should consider taking the pallete from the Sonic X-treme sprites, those should be perfect.

Also, Azukara, that music is great. It feels really... Sonic-ey.
