  1. Thanks Miru. Stink Terios, the majority of rap music in this game comes from either Madworld or Anarchy Reigns, both games developed by Platinum games, both produced by Sega. x)
  2. Ok, I'm back again. This is what I got done with the game so far. There's 3 stages(the music for the first stage was just there for my own pleasure but I said "Flip it" and left it for the lulz), no boss spawns after destroying the last spawner, the level just ends shortly afterward. Due to the scripting of another game I copied from, random items may appear once you take out enemies, what comes out will be fixed later. The shops I planned to have aren't there yet, as I still need time to figure out how to script them to spawn what you need when you have the money. The gameplay is a general beat'em up that uses your main attack for combos, 3 other buttons for free specials, and your special button when takes more of your MP bar then the free ones. Playable characters: Sonic, Knuckles, Sally, Bunnie, Vector, Shadow, Nack, and more to come. That's pretty much it. The download will be linked in the bottom of the OP momentarily. x)
  3. Well gee man, thanks for the comment. The big battles depend on what stages you pick, the color also indicates how many people will be on the map, but that's my bad for never getting around to adding a tutorial. It's also never a good idea to try to get in the middle of big brawls, but to stay on the sides and pick other characters off. Overall, I wanted to give people something different with Sega Brawlers, and since I'm using OpenBOR, I don't have much choice in the matter, lol, so some things will be different, it's the whole reason why I added so many characters on screen at once to. If you wanna tone a down a bit, try arcade mode, where I was trying to be like Fighters Megamix for the Saturn(you get how I got the title name now. ) and let you pick your fights, but instead of the entire list of enemies, I give you 4 choices(2 for now) of bosses for each round, and if you pick some with enemies, you'll have partners, and if you have more people playing with you, extra enemies will spawn for the boss, so it makes the mode really dynamic. If you play and finish Adventure mode, you unlock the other game modes where you can select secret characters, play the 4 stages of Alliance mode, and 2 stages for mission mode. Hope that all helps, and I should add all that s*** to thebooth. x)
  4. Just something I started for Sage, maybe for someone looking for something different (if Sega Brawlers isn't enough already). This will basically be a quick little attack/defense game starring Sonic characters, which will only have a few characters and stages, and it's actually a prototype for a game I wanna make that wont have anything to do with Sonic. The objective of the game is to take on an army of Eggman bots being sent through spawners across the levels, along with your on army of chao being sent by your own spawner that you also have to keep from being destroyed or you lose. Once you take out the spawner at the end of the level, a boss is to appear, and you and you chao will have to beat it in order to progress to the next level. There is also 2 elements which will make this interesting, leveling up via score, which will increase you max HP and MP bars, and special money you get for beating enemies(you yourself, it doesn't count if your allies kill them), which can be used back at your base to buy either chaos rings you give you special elements to your attacks, and stronger allies then the chao, like G.U.N. bots. There may not be a demo right as Sage starts but I may take what I have now, and add two stages real quick to give you something short and sweet, but for now, attached below are practically the first shots I've ever shown of the project. EDIT: Got the demo up now. Description of it is 2 posts down: http://www.mediafire.com/download/78zc28u9s9vdfcm/SonicDefense.zip x)
  5. Got dat Booth up now. Meant to post this topic long ago but I'm gettin' caught up in a lot of s*** as of late. The main idea of this game was to take this engine, Open Beats of Rage(OpenBOR for short) and use it to make an all out brawler style fighting game starring many of the classics Sega charqacters, along with guests who have either barely or not at all seen since the genesis era or at least featured on a Sega console. Download link: Download: http://www.mediafire.com/download/51g9mu8p6zgi9r9/Sega_Brawlers_Megamix(NewV3.4).RAR If you'd like to see more games made with this engine, please visit Chronocrash.com, the main forum for the engine and it's modders: http://www.chronocrash.com/forum/index.php If you do download this, there should be a readme in teh zip file somewhere, it should tell you some of the basics of the game and engine. There's also a trick i just learned as of late, where you can hold ALT and press enter to instantly have the game change to or from full screen mode. Maybe you could copy and paste that in the readme, which can actually been see as soon as you open the zip file. Shots attached below. x)
  6. Another game I worked on. I had to release a new demo(linked under the video) since it's last and only one was back in 09 before I started Sega Brawlers: Still needs work with the MP bar and other effects I plan to add later on, but it's got 4 full levels packed in it and some of level 5. Back when I first released it, the 4 levels was half of the game, but with all the time I haven't worked on it, I've come up with many ideas, so this game will be a few stages longer then originally intended. X)
  7. I'm back again yo, hoping to keep this up for a while. I haven't worked too much on this with everything going on lately. New Laptop, my own internet connection, a job, and playing all those games on XBLA. OK, so when I last posted, I talked about fixing falling so you don't get juggled to much. A while ago, I finally finished going through every enemy in Sega Brawlers, and since I already went through all the players, all I have left is to go through the NPC characters, and there's only a handful of them. While doing that, I updated Charmy Bee from the older version of this game with 4 new attacks and slightly better animations. Before the next release, I plan on making a characters playable, and so far, I have a boss and an enemy planned. If you wanna see some of the work I've done since I've been absent from here, check my DA account: http://dj-vgamer.deviantart.com/gallery/ If you wanna download the last update of this game, click my sig. X)
  8. If your looking for them, you can find colors rips here: http://www.spriters-resource.com/ds/sonicrush/index.html If you need them edited..... your on your own buddy. x)
  9. It's been a long time since I've been here, but it's cool to see something new. From the latest link posted by the author, the game handles pretty well, but I did see the camera spaz while going down a wall. The life system seems pretty interesting, is that gonna work like Tails and Eggman's levels in Sonic Adventure 2? If so, it could make final boss fights hell, lol. The only other problem I can think of is that the stage is too open for flying characters to get around, it needs more elevated paths and obstacles to keep this from happening. I would suggest looking at maps from the original games, and I found the site that has them. Here's the link to Mushroom Hills full map: http://www.soniccenter.org/maps/s3z71.png For the rest, you can navigate through here: http://www.soniccenter.org/maps/?url=maps The Length of the level is up to you. Anyway, good luck on this son, I'll be lookin' out for it if I stick around. x)
  10. With sonic3(and knuckles) being my favorite of the classics, you had me at the thread title. I'd love to help make some music for this but I'd need a good assortment of VSTs to use in FL Studio before I can really accomplish some really good covers. I'm very much into New school breakbeats, most notably a group called "The Prodigy". Beats similar to their tracks would sound really tight to a game remix, but that's all I can help with from there. I'm only a real programmer when it comes to the OpenBOR engine, don't know jack aside of that. X)
  11. Just tried this out. It ran slow for me but it was really. Nice stage design, music was ok, but act 2 didn't really sound like a sonic type of track(I'm big on music), but in Act3 it picked and sounded nice, like a mix between Sonic CD and R. Oh yeah, I really liked the disappearing platforms you had there with the rain and lightning, made things a bit slower, but a nice touch. To sum it up, this is another fan game I'm hoping to see a full version of in the future. X)
  12. Underestimate? Didn't I say I thought the other games around here are good to? All I was saying is that for me, Nebulous and Eggman hates furies has more appeal due to their own styles that you don't see in too many other sonic fan games, Nebulous with it's art style and roster of characters, and EHF with it's intense boss battles and gameplay unlike almost any sonic game. It appeals more to me that they were different. If you want to make a regular sonic game(mainly based and don't stray far away from the original genesis games), then do so, and I'll play and end up liking it to, just like Axiom, Sonic classic, Fusion, and the old Neo sonic Godspeed. It's just that these two stand out for me, and I find them a lot more fun. Admittedly, I may have went a little overboard and I didn't mean to insult anybody here, and I have realized the creativity from the number of games I've seen here, but it has nothing to do with it being dark(but I do like it), hell, I remember a sonic fan game some time ago that had sonic using his moves from battle in actual 2D gameplay. Don't know what happened to it though. X)
  13. Another new Sega Brawlers update is here people. Not much from last time, but there's 3 new stages for battle mode, Rick Taylor and Mutant Rick updated from the older version, and a new mode called Alliance mode, which can be unlocked after beating adventure mode. You can find the download edited in the post above this. I'm already working on this some more before I get close to a another release. I'm fixing a problem players(and I) have noticed when your juggled a lot during big fights. I'm fixing the falling axis so you fly low and sometimes, far, away from attacks, allowing to hit the ground faster when hit with certain attacks. This will take a while because I have 62 characters to go through and each as 3-4 files apiece, and that's just the playable characters. X)
  14. Saw the final test, shadow's video, and knuckles theme. All of it looks great man. Can't wait to play it if you release anything. x)
  15. Wow, this looks really good, and for some reason, the villain and backgrounds remind me of Ristar. The future's lookin' bright for this game. X)
  16. Wanted to come here and comment on this to. My cousin brought over his new laptop a few weeks ago, so I took advantage and played games I couldn't play on my PC. Finally being able to play this, I loved right from the intro, and it caught me by surprise that I had to control that bike sonic was, making the intro better then it already was. The rest of the game from then on was nothing short of amazing, there's nothing else I can say, from the intro till the final battle with eggman. Now, fans are quick to praise people like the guy who did the 3D mushroom hill video or the guys behind sonic fan remix. You, oddwarg, and qwerty919 for sonic nebulous, deserve that praise that that those guys get. You didn't just make some 3D video or some remake that just focuses on being like the classics(and I hope the final version proves me wrong), you two guys made unique sonic games that actually tried to be different from the rest, and did a great job doing it. As good as the other fan games I've seen around here are, I don't think we're going to see any fan made 2D sonic game top Eggman hates furries or sonic nebulous for a very long time. X)
  17. Back again, and Sega Brawlers Megamix is updated and uploaded. 4 new characters added, totaling the roster to 60 fighters: http://www.mediafire.com/?v5jkzdhadnv4nm8 EDIT: New Video Uploaded - X)
  18. Yo people, my new update of Brawlers is up now. The download link is posted in the video info. X)
  19. Makin' a few updates again with brawlers. I'm takin chars from the older version and putting them in the beta demo(which might as well be the main demo now, lol). P.S. I've been using update patches to keep peeps up on the latest chars and features, but something happend and files are missing, so don't download any of the update patches for the beta demo until I upload the upcoming demo, just the pak or data DL's. X)
  20. http://lavalit.com:8080/index.php/topic,5857.msg81250.html#msg81250 It's all there folks. Download the game, pick a pokemon and get busy. Just an FYI, this is groundwork for a full pokemon beat'em up mod I plan to make in the future. X)
  21. A long time ago I started remaking another Open Beats of Rage game(the one that got me into the engine in fact). The mod is called MegaSonic Original made by CybersoulX: All the original characters who were in the game are getting new sprites. The stages I may not be able to fix because I only have the GIF copies from the game itself, so I may replace them. For more info check here: http://lavalit.com:8080/index.php/topic,5820.msg80861/topicseen.html#new X)
  22. I noticed the shots I posted from my Pokemon Rumble 2D project are gone, so here's some new ones: The stages were ripped and edited from these GBA games: Pokemon Mystery dungeon Bomberman tournament Super Dodge Ball Advance Kirby and the Magic Mirror These will be the only few stages for battle mode for a while, but story mode will have a much different scenery. X)
  23. Now that I've got the new update for download, I've already got the new adventure stage done: I had already made the stage weeks ago, I just gone done putting the enemies in. X)
  24. Alright, I've got the update patch 2 ready for Sega Brawlers Megamix. If you wanna try it out, be sure to get the data download first from the link below, and after unzipping that, download and unzip the first patch to it's data folder. http://lavalit.com:8080/index.php/topic,2609.0.html X)
