Mark the Echidna
I decided to create original Blitz3D brushes for Damizean's Sonic Model, mimicking the Sonic NextGen materials. In the end, I got an effect more similar to the Super Mario Galaxy shading effects. It doesn't really use pixel shaders - since Blitz3D doesn't support them and I haven't taken time to learn them yet - but instead it uses a clever combination of environment maps, Add and Multiply blending, vertex color and Lighting. Considering the Wii is tied to FFP, this should be similar to what they really do. Here are some screens: And here's the video (Low framerate due to screen recorder :E):

Guest Shadix
isn't that dami's model? edit: nvrmnd, you state it is in your post. I don't really know what to say though, as I don't know how difficult it is to do this.
Neo Hazard
Looks awesome, and it really needs to be used in something, that would be great.

Damizean
Whoa, that's so fuc**ng awesome! Needs more attention to smoothing groups. I think it looks quite good, specially being Blitz 3D.
Aaron C-T
Looks like it'd be awesome- but there's something about the background elements that seems.. not right with the shading. Sonic and the spring seem to stick out quite a bit.
DimensionWarped
I think it looks quite good, specially being Blitz 3D. Just pointing out that the shoes look a tad polygonal because of the way they are being shaded is all. It should be fixable within the modelor I think. Mark the Echidna
Actually, I think the problem is that anisotropic filtering was turned off. Updated the world shading.

VectorSatyr
Needs a skybox graphic. The generic blue ruins it. =/ Looks great, though.

Aerosol
I demand that you make a game now. I demand it. EDIT: Infact, you should make this shading engine open source or something, for those of us interested in (or capable of) using Blitz3D.
TRD
Translation: Aerosol wants to learn how to do that in Blitz3D. =P
