Shadow_Striker
Megaman X... Maybe because that looks like the snow in Chill Penguin's Stage? No, it's not my stage. What reminds me of Megaman X are those enemies that spicy gyro games showed XD.
TailsSena
No, it's not my stage. What remembers me of Megaman X are those enemies that spicy giro games showed XD. Nice grammar. And now that I can see the pics he posted, I agree for the first couple, but the rest look like they belong in 7 or 8.

Oh, sorry, I'll correct that. Although I know english well enough, I still make those mistakes sometimes.
TailsSena
No problem. You have no idea how many people I know who make worse mistakes on a regular basis.
Delta Hedgehog
Good work. Try improving the shading on the candy cane part of the floor and make it look more round. As for the chocolate, get rid of the repetition by adding some different blocks, like the shaped blocks from Tetris. I'm not sure about the cake though. Delta Hedgehog
I tried my hand at creating a ground tile for Midnight Metropolis that really... shined. (Where's the troll face smiley when you need it ) Anyway, I need help with the shiny part though.

Delta Hedgehog
Thats looks nice Chronic, even though it's only a placeholder. Plus I'm not sure on how to improve it but I made the rest of the slopes
OverbounD
Delta, increase contrast and reduce saturation. Great pattern btw.
Delta Hedgehog
Thanks Overbound. I got the idea from some sketches I made of this zone, Magma Meltdown, and Aquamarine Arena. I'd show 'em but I don't have a scanner.
Delta Hedgehog
Saturation reduced to -25, and the contrast up to 25. Better?
OverbounD
I was thinking more like this. Just a thought though.
Delta Hedgehog
Looks good actually. The purple looks fine but I wanted to keep the blue rather than have it be... purplish- blue I guess . I already switched out your blues with the original and kept the purple you had, but I don't feel like having to upload it again. XD
OverbounD
I didn't actually change the hue at all. Only the saturation of the color. But you could always slide it further left and keep the saturation lower. My only point was the colors you used were too saturated.
Delta Hedgehog
I know that, but even so, it just wasn't workin for me.
Dwapook
Anyone have advice on how to improve this? I'm having a difficult time figuring out level graphics..
Chaos-Fusion
Looks pretty good so far. Tails is a bit too tall if this is based on satam but thats just me nitpicking.
Betaman
Anyone have advice on how to improve this? I'm having a difficult time figuring out level graphics..[qimg]http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk115/Dwapook/eyehurtslessmore_.png[/qimg] If anything, the lighting of the sky/time of day doesn't really match the lighting style of the ground tiles. Either lighten up the browns to match the brighter sky or make the sky darker/cloudier or even change the time of day to something other than stark daylight. Perhaps a stormy setting or a dusk/dawn setting for it rather than slightly cloudy summer afternoon? Other than that, you've got a good concept for a level and I can't wait to see what sprouts from there. I may just be spouting a bunch of nonsense though. I just happen to like levels that don't take place in the middle of the day.
Jettezu
Anyone have advice on how to improve this? I'm having a difficult time figuring out level graphics..[qimg]http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk115/Dwapook/eyehurtslessmore_.png[/qimg] It looks pretty good so far,the only thing is that compared to the rest of the colors the ground tiles are too bright. maybe something like this is better? (sorry for my crappy photoshop edit,I just wanted to give you an idea how to make the colors look better.) Also, the foreground is kind of boring, you should add a few level decorations. (: EDIT: It is maybe better to change the resolution to 320x240,that way it doesn't look blurry.
Delta Hedgehog
He probably scaled it up for viewing purposes, but like everyone else is saying, the foreground is to bright compared to the background. Either lighten the background, or like darken the foreground. BTW, thanks for the help Overbound, I'm almost finished. Ed Edit: Help me impove this tile for Aquamarine Arena. Strife
I think it would sound better if it was just Marine Arena, actually, but that's entirely up to you. Not sure if you want to keep the alliteration with the names. Anyway, I would ditch the green Labyrinth Zone tiles and come up with something else to use in those spots. Maybe some tiles that are studded with nautical symbols, like anchors and lifesavers?
Delta Hedgehog
I chose Aquamarine Arena to fit the whole Sonic CD alliteration theme. Anyway
Apricity
Marine Arena does sound better. The names too long-winded and it's disjointed in the way that the first part is a lot longer than the latter part. Aquatic Arena, Submerged Stadium, Splash Stadium etc. It's probably fine actually but idk. I totally dig the icy looking blocks but the colour on the Labyrinth blocks don't work imo. The bright greens against bluey-grey metal doesn't sit with me. I guess that kind of bright green colour is hard to put with colours that work. I'm totally with strife on trying to cusotm them up a bit with anchors, lifesavers and relevant icons etc.
Delta Hedgehog
I changed the colors of the metallic blocks to match the glass at the top. You can't really see it in the screenshot because of the water.
