That looks really cool LH. Use lots of that green (like you already are) it will keep the gray from making the level looked washed out. Not saying the gray is bad, its just easy to make look gray look bad if you aren't careful. Another thought, you could do a kind of gray blue like the collapsing pillars from the original SSZ.

Hmm, nice tip, I completely forgot about those collapsing platforms. Will definitely give it a try.

@Sereph Not sure about the two first suggestions, although the wind path thing seems nice.

But

take marble garden's spinning top gimmick and just make it a davinci helicopter

Trying to make something interesting in this design.

Will start working on Future patterns this Friday.]

EDIT: Anyone has ideas for gimmicks?

The background could use some extra work also didn't liked the palmtree pallete. But it's looking quite good, reminded me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MsjKxeYYiI&feature=relmfu (Starting at 4:20)

Oh, the Salarian Homeworld. Almost forgot about that.

I might also take a look

About those trees, there are two trees in light and dark green, the use of both balance the level colors.

I'll show them once I review the white in the pallete.

Wow, I haven't posted on here for a while! This has really grown. (My last posts were when new pages were in the 40's and 50's. Now it's in the 90's!)

I'll be posting some new stuff while I'm on vacation, but you guys are really doing a great job.

Don't trick yourselves, it's still a one-frame dummy printed on screen, using C# and XNA. Still learning but, from what I've learned, I'm going well. I may add animation and X movement today, and I'll upload the engine on a Fangaming topic in other day, because I just can't figure out a proper collision detection.

I'm also still unsure if I'm gonna add Windows Phone 7 Touch support with a virtual gamepad thingy.

I entered a game in a week contest[didn't finish] but felt like showing it off here.

Loved it for the first time you told me you were doing this.

Nah, you gotta pay to put this shit on Windows Phone or Xbox 360 and you can't use registered characters for that, this is why I don't think I'll put the touch support.

I've already made the X and Y movements (this includes Gravity), and tried to make it 1:1 with Sonic Worlds. It has Keyboard and Gamepad support, but I'm having some trouble with animation here. Might have to do with the spritesheet I'm using.

The two images seem to be... the same?

Decided to open up my old SonicCD engine and edit it into this. This is what I have been working on today.

YAY FLASHY STUFF!

By the way, if anyone asks, this is NOT SonicWorlds. This is my own engine built from a BARE build of the old MMF1 SonicEngine by Damizean from back in the day. I find it to be a bit more reliable than Somethings WorldsAlpha's engine has to offer (Bug issues). Only thing the engine actually came with was 360 movement on it's own.

Showing off a new build. (Not a new-new build, mind you, that would be too easy to pull off without the computer erasing ALL OF YOUR CHANGES)

Still using some placeholder tiles, but the springs are final. Credit goes to Sparks for the original sprite design.

Loving those springs, and the Sonic sprite as well. He has that extra splash of detail while not deviating too much from the original. ^_^

BlazefireLP really helped out with the Sonic Sprite. If it weren't for him, they'd just be darker recolors of the Sonic 2 sprite with Sonic 3 hands. Thank you all so much for the kind words, I really appreciate them.
