Geckoroverse Posted June 16, 2013 Report Share Posted June 16, 2013 Hey ya'll, I wanna' apologize for the lack of updates in a long while; I'm technically the one in charge of working on Green Gate's sprites, and they're practically done (for the first incarnation) but I've been sending in job applications and setting up college plans quite a lot lately, and as such have not been able to get all the sprites together in one place as quickly as I wanted to. Also, my computer is on its last legs, and needs to be replaced. In case you're not aware, Caliente Carnival Zone is a Carnival being built over a desert. Act 1 has more emphasis on the desert. Act 2 has both desert stuff and carnival elements. Caliente Carnival Act 1 Green Gate Act 1 Cave Complex Act 1 And two more possible color schemes for Diamond District! (might as well list all of them.) Which one do you like the most? Well, anyway, we're doing some changes to the artstyle, hopefully for the good. (Right now the tile and background art clashes a lot, so we're changing some stuff.) They're either too dull, too bright and vibrant, or just straight up don't mix well. The only one thats got a decent one is the red green one but its kinda meh. XD That being said, I'm open up to suggestions concerning the palette colors. Highwire4 Posted June 27, 2013 Report Share Posted June 27, 2013 making a color pallet less vibrant doesn't mean making it darker. Than it would just be a vibrant dark color. Push them a little bit toward the white end of the spectrum and darken them a smidgen. I could help out if you want, since making color palletes is one of the funnest things I love doing. Anyway, I'm happy to tell you guys that everything is going rather smoothly (apart from one fatality a couple of weeks ago involving the loss of an entire zone due to Jass not saving). Those of you who enjoyed BTS/ATS will be pleased to see certain story links that Jass and I have created together, though it's too early to even give a hint at it yet.
