Asuma
This the promotion of Twitter that's the problem. Just like MySpace. "Visit us at www.myspace.com/(insert movie, celeb name here)". Seriously, you're that lazy to make a website?
Spike
in all fairness, if it offends you so much then stay the fuck away from it and don't bitch and give it more unnecessary hype.it's not as though it's something that breaks into your house at 2am and fucks your children. So, unless something is raping my kids, I don't have any right to dislike it? I hate hearing shit like that and "It's not killing you". We have the right to complain about some website being crammed down our throats at all times by virtually all media. Even so, nobody in this topic hadn't heard of twitter. We're not hyping anything. rogueyoshi
its only useful for those people that travel a lot. twitting stupid shit like getting eggs from the grocery store or something is pointless.
Ristar
i've got nothing against complaining about something, but this is be bordering on bitching and whining over nothing. people seem to be complaining because it's popular and is turning up a lot in the media. that's because it works for the media; celebs can get a bit of promo, designers like Euan can make contacts with people and I can find out what my favourite pornstars are up to. maybe i'm lacking in all the hate and pettyness, but no one has really irritated me about twitter; it's a useful site, ridiculously simple and i'm glad that people like Euan can make contacts in the industry. if anything, the more annoying thing is the amount of clutter on facebook atm; quizzes such as: "which pokemon are you?" and "if you were an STD which one would you be?" that loads of people seem to be taking, not to mention all the stupid groups people join such as: "I hate waking up in the morning (7 friends joined)", "Pizza is good eating (4 friends joined)". i remember everyone complained when facebook was getting popular and people wanted to cling to their myspaces, same thing is happening here. i just don't see what all the fuss is about. Ugh, yes. You can block all the quizzes you want, but there are just so fucking many. Hell, there are even duplicates. I've blocked 3 "Which Pokemon are you?" and 4 "Which Michael Jackson song are you?" quizzes, for example. Twitter, though, is stupid regardless. next thing you know i'll start liking sonic. Hahahaha... not here, no.
DimensionWarped
Umm... looking at that article I'm a touch confused. See, we are generation Y. Children of the 90's? Yeah. Thats generation Y.

Sockman
I think what's sad is that Twitter does have potential to be an interesting tool, but it's typecast right now as a micro-blogging ego-stroker. For me, I barely update my own Twitter, but I use it to follow news organizations, White House press releases, and other stuff. Basically, I use it as a glorified RSS feed. Also, if a celebrity doesn't have their Twitter monitored by their publicists, you can gain some valuable insight into their batshit insanity. TLDR Edition: Don't be hatin da game, hate da playa who be fuckin shit up.

Amesuki
Can't be bothered with it. I just use facebook when I can be bothered. That shall be enough. I have a thing I like to call "privacy" and "social life"

Perry_
Twitter is more pretty than RSS feed. Unfortunetly that's most likely true.
