Cleberson
Cleberson: Please take a screenshot without maximization. It's hard to see when it's zoomed in 400%.Delta: I hope that isn't supposed to be water because if it is it doesn't resemble it to me. Either there is no water or the reflection is FAR too obvious. Make the water more obvious. Yup, you are right!. When I took this photo was with a rush, i accidentally uploaded the maximized version. xD
Serephim
i personally thought it was pretty obvious that it was water. I guess you can add a tiny bit of distortion to send it home.

Serephim
kind of liked the other one better. Either works IMO.

Delta Hedgehog
Oh, and... I was gonna use the Casino Night palmtrees, but they didn't quite match with the rest of the tiles, so I used the palmtree things from Techno Tower, and the Marina Madness checkerboard things prevents frustration from having to make sure the tiles on the bottom tile correctly. snow toilet
I hope you guys were joking, what else would it be reflecting onto?[qimg]http://puu.sh/fPMP[/qimg] Blazefire is right. The water isn't convincing. Not to mention that the water makes it even harder to tell what I'm looking at. Maybe a lot less reflection like as far as using a darker or lighter tone to the reflected scenery. I don't know.

TOTAL NOSTALGIA!. -Why? 1. The sprites, Like Speed Highway from Sonic Adventure 2. Yes, this is soooo Stardust. 3. Casino, the classic from Sonic 2. Good job
Zenor
That background is shaping up nicely, but I think you shouldn't limit its height to the screen height. After all, having it stick to the same place vertically at all times can get boring really fast.
Delta Hedgehog
Well, if we swicth to the Worlds engine (which SuperBliz hasn't updated me about), then we will have vertical scrolling backgrounds like in Sonic CD.
StealthyMC
Well I don't know, is it worth learning how to use MMF2 when I already know how to use GM8 really well? I mean should I really switch to MMF2 just for one engine?

I mean should I really switch to MMF2 just for one engine? Depends on the reliability of the SDASH engine, or whatever GM8 peoples use now. On the plus side, MMF2 has no learning curve... It's more like an 80 degree line going up.

It's more like an 80 degree line going up. Well the SDASH engine is quite clunky at times and slow too. I've had the full version of MMF2 at one point, but never got around on how to learn it, since GM was my first program. ... I'm really confused on which choice to make. Violet CLM
...what does any given Sonic physics engine have to do with your parallax layers? If you want your backgrounds to scroll on both axes, just write the code for that, be it in GM8 or MMF2 or whatever else.

LakeFeperd
it's far from final i know i still got to tweak the colors, there is too much cyan and i still need to add more red stuff to get a better contrast

I feel the angle is not right. But maybe that's just me. In any case, I like the look of the platforms.
Strife
Thinking about palette swapping one of my characters. I kinda like the center one, though I don't know if it's suitable for a villain.

JetHawk95
I think it all depends on what actions the villain is going to use in its boss fights.. A cool idea would be to allow him/her change colors during battle and use different techniques (Fire, Water, Earth) and you would have to use the corresponding shields (I think its your game what had the element shields) to deflect His or her attacks back, Kinda like the Ghost Ganandorf fight in Zelda.. Just an idea cus I <3 all 3 of them

The look of it reminds me of those enemies in the desert stage from Sparkster.
Core
I don't think there are specific palettes for villains. I think all 3 versions are nice and fitting.
Strife
Looks a bit more like a standard grunt than the main villain.Maybe like enemy guards? The main villain? Not in this lifetime. xD He's just a scout. Since I haven't gotten any suggestions, though, I'll just keep his original green palette. Maybe adding a light stripe on his stomach area will make him look more snake-like.
