Gotcha. ^^ I found a different 9-bit pallette and made the switch.

It should be barely noticeable for most people, but which one is better? The top one is the old palette, and the bottom one is the new.

I notice the grass has a slightly different pallet. I like the top one.

I prefer the top and the reasons are this.

The grass on the bottom is too dark in my opinion.

The palm trees in the background, where they get like a purple color, are very hard to see in the bottom as well.

The bushes? on the top picture look very detailed which is good as well as the wooden window thing on the house.

Wow, thanks for all of your feedback, guys. ^_^ Makes me feel all fuzzy.

Okay, so the general consensus is that the old palette is better. Now that I think about it, it's not so much the colors themselves, but how I use them. The first one is better because I picked each color by hand to work with what I had drawn. In the second one, I just did a quick conversion. xD

Tried a different texture for the house and darkened its shading a bit.

New Zone

Say hello to Titanic Tower Zone

It looks great, but it has a problem that appears in a lot of areas in your game: The big structures lack shading, and are basically just filled with a low contrast gradient. It breaks the feel of it, in my opinion. You should make them out to be like the rest of the tiles.

Hmm... I'm with Spike... that's true.

Some news from Amazing Ocean 2, as I've finished remaking Act 1:

(Development spoiler alert)

Do I look nuts for making this? ):

It looks like if you adjusted it a bit it could be a spin tube.

@UnlimitedChaos

yeah, they are already finished

there is a shading there but i think i set the transparency way too high and not even i can notice it

@Spike

ya know, shading big stuff isnt easy as shading small stuff.

anyway, this is my fist time working with graphics for a game and i really dont know how to make them better. really

That's how you learn. You've just got to experiment and practice. People aren't just born good at that stuff.
