Need music for your game? Check this guy out...

Ristar

Recommended Posts

I'm Andy, and I'm a composer from the UK. I'm PRS For Music (http://www.prsformusic.com/) registered and am available for work RIGHT NOW. Check out http://vibedeck.com/andytunstall for a collection of my music.

I now have an awful lot of Sonic music in my portfolio, so I can no longer make these tracks for free if there is no guarantee that the game will be released. However, non-Sonic or slower Sonic tracks I can do for free at the moment.

I play guitar, bass and keyboard.

As well as being a more-than-adequate, self-taught producer with studio experience

I cover different genres, from chiptunes (http://chipmusic.org/tunners/music/frostbite-peak , http://chipmusic.org/tunners/music/east-cloud-stellar) to rock music (http://soundcloud.com/tunners/dreamstation-ex-amount-iii) to fully rendered CD-quality soundtracks (http://soundcloud.com/tunners/midnight-lagoon-area-one , http://soundcloud.com/tunners/ruin-lake , http://soundcloud.com/tunners/white-second-marissa-love)

And remember, you can check out my FULL portfolio by going to http://vibedeck.com/andytunstall

I'd love to hear from you, so please feel free to contact me about anything.

Thank you very much for your time!

Idk why but in the pics you look like your 8 XD. IDK I haven't listened, on an iPhone. But it's always good to have another musician

I get told I have a young face quite a lot, but I'm 22. I'll be laughing when I'm 50 looking like a 40 year old though!

@Falk I should really upgrade my POD, I can never really get a great sound out of it. I got mine off a guy who used to be in a Church band for next to nothing. Also, nice to see someone who has a desk as messy as mine ;)

I used the hell out of the thing back before I got the xt... I totally get what you mean hahaha, most of the time the guitar stuff sounded decent when buried really far back or doubled out the nose.

Been looking at an AxeFX2 myself, but 1) I'm poor :( 2) That bass expansion set aaaah.

Wow, great to see another composer 'round here²

I know I may sound like a dick going directly to the point, but do you think you can remix the music of Sky Sanctuary Zone three times, for eventuals Past, Present and Bad Future versions? >: I'm planning on making it on Collab.

P.S. It'd also be good to see the song played in a minor scale for a Bad Future, just like US versions of Quartz Quadrant

Its great to see another composer round here!

May I Ask what DAW You use?

I'm all VST Based and Don't play any instruments unfortunately. Plan on making my living by composing video game music.

We should work together on a piece sometime maybe?

That'd be pretty sweet, I've never done a collab before so I'd definitely be up for it.

My DAW of choice is Reaper, it's cheap and constantly updated, plus Mike Senior of Sound on Sound absolutely raves about it ;)

@LH I can get to work on it, it'd be nice to see some artwork to base it on though. Feel free to PM me :D

I'll make some small edits here for a concept and PM you whatever I get. I'm just not doing it today because I'm not home, but maybe tomorrow...

But, for a start, I'm planning to use the original Sky Sanctuary from S&K for Present, that old Dark Ruins Zone lib by Nite Shadow (I think) for Future and... for past, I think I'm gonna use the Sonic Generations' color scheme to make a more non-ruined and more white version of it.

Thanks for agreeing (:

Oh man I just saw this. That's really cool man, congrats! If I totally had time right now and a game to actually put music on, you'd be my first choice to go to for sure and maybe we'd be able to toss ideas back and forth since I make music as well. I have been thinking of attempting to learn Unity since they have a few tutorials sitting around on their site, so perhaps later in the year if I can find the time to make something small I'll have to hit you up!

As of right now I got nothin' though.

But still, congrats again dude on getting registered and stuff.

So Ristar skillfully made two tracks for my game. I must say I'm really impressed with the quality and they fit the tone of the level incredibly well. It's nice to get such an almost professional sounding quality of custom song for free. I'd thoroughly recommend anyone who wants some original music for a game to ask Ristar.

Thanks a bundle :)
