DJ espeed
So it takes THIS LONG to finally get screenshots? ...right, I almost forgot that Balough himself said they were doing the Episode 1 approach to the ad campaign for Epi. 2. Edit: The images were removed from the Marketplace. See Strife's post for a link to the images.
Dark Raven X
Much as I'd love to remain steadfastly negative about this whole thing, those screens all look great. Very unique level aesthetics, a huge departure from the retro (rip off) levels of Sonic 4.
JetHawk95
I FU**ING told you there would be an Ice cap clone! Thats the reason it wasnt in generation What other way to make Sonic fans love it then to put an Ice Cap themed level in it? I predicted this from day 1 and I'm glad I was correct, If I Was SEGA I would of done the exact same thing to bring Sonic back.. Is it just me or does It look nothing like Ep.1? Sonic the hedgehog 5 Would actually sound more fitting
Rawr
I'd have to see it in motion. The screens they have are kinda cluttered with stuff everywhere that its hard to really appreciate it.
flame6753
These new images are very impressive. Can't really find anything visually that I don't like. They say it's running under all new engine as well. If only it plays well.
Strife
The screenshots are no longer found in the above link, but I found them here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=463117 I'll echo the positive responses from everyone else here. Though, I am curious to know if we'll be able to choose Sonic or Tails alone in addition to pairing them up. Guess we'll have to see.

DJ espeed
Sega's released 9 new screenshots (of the same environments that we saw just recently) on their Flickr profile in glorious 1080p. Edit: Also, Sega will be releasing a gameplay trailer next thursday on Gamespot.

flame6753
The game looks pretty. As far as gameplay goes, it doesn't look that much better than episode one. Oh well, I'm satisfied until the game comes out.
luksamuk
Saw the trailer on Gamespot Sexy. The 69 attack too lol. Can't wait for jokes with that when the game launches.
DJ espeed
Interesting news today. Sega unveiled a at GameSpot today (via On The Spot) and a nice bit of free bonus content for owners of Episode 1 & 2 (the latter of which comes out next month for PS3 and 360, 15th and 16th respectively) called "Episode Metal".Said episode allows you to play as Metal Sonic in Episodes 1 & 2 and includes "four exclusive levels". luksamuk
This Episode Metal thing doesn't make me want to buy Episode I. I mean, Episode I with what seems like not much more than a Metal Sonic skin? Ah come on. Exclusive levels... what a joke. I hate Splash Hill. EDIT: Calling it "Episode Metal" otherwise than "Metal Sonic skin for Sonic 4 Episode I" really pisses me off.
DJ espeed
It's a shame that this is a gimmick to make people buy up Episode 1. Otherwise, playing as Metal Sonic in the game as is would've been interesting on its own. But you know Sega.
JetHawk95
Just a quote from youtube but found it quite intresting "Fun fact, the good ending of sonic 4 ep 1 on the wii said "To be continued?" and the other versions said "To be continued..." SEGA knew ep2 wasn't going to be on the wii from the beginning." Can anyone confirm that this statement is true? That the Wii says "To be continued? Instrutilus
....i stand corrected. Looks like they are trying to pull a 180 with this thing.ALSO [qimg]http://i.imgur.com/YPjkv.jpg[/qimg] :V ...Y'know, ignore that and if you'll look at the Little Planet: Robotnik's rebuilding the Death Egg. Wait, does that mean Sonic the Fighter's Death Egg II and Sonic Battle's Death Egg III are actually III and IV?
Serephim
I highly doubt the creators of this game give two rat shits about continuity with the genesis games. If they did, Sonic 4 wouldn't have been Sonic-only and sucked so bad. I thought there were only the Sonic 2 death egg and the Sonic 3&Knuckles death egg. I'd figure the above statement counts for the other games that featured the death egg too, perhaps minus the suck part.

Both Death Eggs are the same: the Death Egg crashed on Angel Island at the end of Sonic 2, hence how he got there and had a badnik army ready by the time Sonic got there. His robots aren't wood. =P The only continuity I know of with two different Death Eggs is Sonic the Comic (never seen an Archie comic, so I'm unsure...) Serephim
Figured as much but i couldnt remember. Either Death Egg was the same one from 2, or he built another one and got it off the ground in 3, and the one falling in Sonic and knuckles is the failed Death Egg launch from Launch Base zone.
