cyborg_ar
If you happen to modify the skin, i wonder if it would be possible to auto-resize images on the posts to prevent the post going wider than the screen. I sometimes see this forums in a 1024x768 display, and horizontal scrolling because of a wide image is very annoying. I have seen that feature in the senntient.com forums (though it doesn't use vB, but it should be possible in vBuletin)
Cyber Rat
You wouldn't have to go through that if people would use the 'generate thumbnail code' feature in photobucket. Also, I think making such a feature is script-related, not skin-related. EDIT: Also, Cyborg, your avatar scares the shit out of me...
cyborg_ar
actually, its CSS From PunBB (software used in senntient forums): /* 7.4 These items control overflow and scrolling within posts. */ DIV.incqbox {WIDTH: 100%; OVERFLOW: hidden} DIV.scrollbox {WIDTH: 100%; OVERFLOW: auto} IMG.postimg {max-width: 100%} A .postimg {max-width: 100%} the skin just would have to assign the "postimg" class to the <img> tags within posts, or set style="max-width: 100%"
GSF
@cyborg: Like Cyber Rat says, these things are unrelated to skins, some plugins offer such option, but maybe vB has the thing incorporated. According to the manual, this option can be set in the config.php file. EDIT: Seems like it could... Well, I'll check the CSS once again. RE-EDIT: Nope, nothing on the vB CSS. Maybe the templates hold something though.
Blue Emerald
I do think that we should keep the tried and true logo, but do you think someone can update its look a bit? It's looking incredibly dated. Some Web 2.0 gloss shit or something. Razzle dazzle, motherfucker. I 'on't know. Web 2.0 gloss, eh? Hey, gsoft, you wouldn't mind if I gave that a shot, would you? GSF
Of course not, any contributions are welcome. Especially with the header templates and banner ideas.
Ayling
If you want to know about image resizing, I'll hit up Ziz or M1k3 at the SCD as that board auto-shrinks images.
Blue Emerald
Well, I tried, but Picture It just can't do the glass effect; it's too resistant. The effects aren't as customizable as they are for Photoshop. Of course, I'm not willing to shell out $600 for that when I just spent $200 on MMF2. So, I worked with what I had. That said, I think the bare concept is pretty good. The lettering on the word "Sonic" looks too thin with the border on it, but there was nothing else I could do about that. I just thought it would look nicer to have the full name of the website instead of initials. Good idea?
Slingerland
I believe that we're called "Sonic Fan Games HQ."

ila
Err lets just stick with the tried and true logo. Its a good effort BE, just a bit... too web 2.0? Anyway I forwarded the test version to Smidge. He'll probably get around to it before the weekend is over.

Cyber Rat
Well, considering how newbies are mauled, we might as well have a logo that insinuates that something like that is normal here. Although being mauled while watching a pink Amy skin has a dose of irony to it.
Koray
Remember the themes on here now were never supposed to be permanent. I just opened the PSDs in photoshop and changed the words. I personally always hated the dark blue one, I use the light blue one. My point, anyways, is that you really shouldn't look at the current themes for any sort of inspiration really.. New users are not the problem, the problem are the ones who don't understand common etiquette and the bandwagon of regulars (you know who you are) who jump on these people. DJ espeed
Well, considering how newbies are mauled.Eh... I don't agree there, CyberRat. Regardless of how "new" people are, you still have people who still act like "n00bs".

Slingerland
I can see this skin and it's fucking sick. Nice work, gsoft. Remind me to drop yo' ass some major rep points later. Speaking of rep, one thing that you might want to fix is the white lines around the "rep emeralds." I bet that you already know about that though. GSF
Yep, I know 'bout that. Alpha value error, it shouldn't be 255 on that one =P I'll list the issues and enable the skin.
