DimensionWarped
This one is simple. You all know my rules. unlimited entries per person 3 neutral judges. A set number of criteria to judge on. entrants get rep points and I let myself participate if I feel like it. This is a very simple contest which I'm hoping people go crazy with. All you have to make is a platform. There are no other rules and you can get as creative as you want with it. You can make it a centerpiece for a gimmick or anything else. You can cut and paste old parts from Sonic games to make it. Here is an example: What you need to do to submit: post an image of just the sprite/spritesheet in png format also provide a hoax image with Sonic standing on it within a level. Thats all. Enjoy. EDIT: Oh, before I forget, all entries are due by December 18th.
TRD
....aw shit, I forgot about this, I won the last one and didn't come up with a new theme. (Then again, everyone was pretty much "too busy" anyways. >_>)
DimensionWarped
Yeah, I figure its Winter Break and you spent too much time and I came up with what I feel is a cool theme at the spur of the moment. Besides, my themes are the most popular anyway
TRD
Haha, well said DW. I'm in.
Rael0505
This sounds like the most fun one we've done yet, I want to participate for once.
Ayling
I need one anyway, so count me in.
Zenor
Oh damn, i'm probably not going to enter this one. I'm having problem with my internet connection. Also, by what seems, it'll have to be custom levels, because almost every zone in sonic games has platforms.
DimensionWarped
Um... no. All you have to do is the platform. You can stick it in whatever existing scene you want and no points will be subtracted.
TRD
Don't worry I didn't forget about this, I'll probably have my entry done today if I can think of something.

TRD
Flying Battery Platform: Wing Fortress Platform: Game, Set, Match.
Zenor
The dithering in the middle of the flying battery platform doesn't fit with the rest of it(i also would've used a purple instead of yellow..).
Ryan Cordel
Honestly, the top and middle segment of the Flying Battery platform, excluding the middle bolt on the top, is completely none S3 like. Also, use s'more purple from the level itself.
DimensionWarped
Fitting with the chosen level isn't a criteria this time. But I agree. The way rounded surfaces are handled seems contrary to the usual methods. For everything above the propeller that is.
TRD
Funny how the top part is from the same game though, right? God. I'll fix the dithering when I feel like it.
DimensionWarped
Not everything in the games is consistent eh? Did you recolor it maybe?
TRD
Nope, I cut that part from an object and pasted it on the propeller. (So inventive =P) Rep up to anyone who can guess what "object" I got it from.
DimensionWarped
Well, I've got my concept going... this is by no means complete, nor does it represent my entry. I'm just demonstrating my concept. Basically the idea is to make a sky ship that you have to pilot by adjusting both the rudder and the level of thrust. Left side controls the rudder, right side controls the thrust. You jump form module to module to do it all kinda like that annoying boat segment of Super Mario Sunshine hopefully only a little less difficult to control. There is also a little room to ride in the front in case your partner player is a wuss and is afraid of helping you pilot the ship... or is the computer player. The concept more or less comes from the UT2k4 mod Air Buccaneers.
TRD
Winner.
Slingerland
Game, Set, Match. You rang? Nice platforms, everybody!
DimensionWarped
As I already said... winning or losing isn't that important. Besides, there are only two people with entrees right now. Everyone needs to get in gear eh? I might have to postpone the deadline if this keeps up. With that said, I think I'll add a canopy up top.
