Mark the Echidna
SEGA: "We're going pause the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise for some time" But then again, they've said they would bring it back to the roots 30 times now, and they haven't done that... So it may be true.
Midiman
If it isnt composed of sprites, its going to be complete and utter fail. Sonic Rush is actually fun compared to Sonic Adventure ( DX PC mind you ) :
Spike
SEGA: "We're going pause the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise for some time" When was that said? Plus, we know that Olympics thing with Sonic is coming out.
Pheonix Gamma
I believe a Sega rep when interviewed with Nintendo on Sonic and Mario Minigame Bonanza, said "we're taking a break from Sonic" cause he needs it. I forget the exact quote.
Guest Shadix
Not to suprised about the franchise "pause", I guess they got tired of making mediocre products... NOW, here is hoping, that a Sonic project gets made that is under development for more than a year. Next could've been great if it wasn't rushed. Pheonix Gamma
I liked Rush. The burst move thinger made it too easy, but I liked it.
Aerosol
you didnt have to use burst though. And infact, knowing when to boost and when you absolutely positively NEED to get air to do tricks to get boost points was very important when trying to get S ranks. Although S's dont give you anything...they should work on that.

I'd like to introduce you to my friends, Final Rush, Forest Stage from SH, and that damn casino stage. Point being: we've seen worse >_>
Aerosol
yea...you only fell victim to bottomless pits if you mindlessly dashed everywhere...not once have i fallen down a pit in sonic rush and thought "that is some bonafide bullshit right there". and pg, you must be very lucky if you can simply boost through a whole stage and get an S. im doing that right now and im not getting better than a B
ila
Well the game was called Sonic "Rush" Oh and PG I counter with "at least we could see those pits coming"
Pheonix Gamma
I counter with "well I didn't die that often from pits" and raise you one "at least Rush's homing attack had a 50% chance of hurling you into said pits"
ila
And I stand with "why are we talking like this" ...but seriously. Rush just didn't do it for me, and the bottomless pits were the main cause.
Slingerland
All the levels in Sonic Rush were the same. The only thing that made them different was the background. Same enemies, same level design, same bottomless pits, same pitiful attempt at platforming sections.
Aki-at
About what Simon Jeffery (President of SEGA of America) said about Sonic taking a break, he actually said Sonic's "taking a break from the Xbox360 and PS3" (perhaps due to the dire sale of Sonic the Hedgehog 06 no less) but will still be appearing on Nintendo consoles. Exception would be the game's only sky level, which was basically just a giant bottomless pit with lots of grinding.
Pheonix Gamma
Exception would be the game's only sky level, which was basically just a giant bottomless pit with lots of grinding. Not true. Some pits had lasers at the bottom.
