xhedgehogx
Argggg... i'm again lost... as i fixed the 360° engine i don't know what to do.. continue the extreme or continue the 360° engine...What do you think it's better? Well, what do you think is better? Be easier for the community to decide if there were movies
LarkSS
You.. know what Sonic Xtreme is, right? All they did was use a sprite in a psuedo-3D environment with a fisheye lens. heh, lol. Forgot all about that. Sometimes I just make quick answer without thinking. Anyways, ya, two movies with one showing the 360 and the other the Extreme for comparison would be nice. It's kinda hard to decide right now.
Dobermann
Well i think i'll use the 360° engine, to make a sonic 1 remix game: I need to make a more sonic-ish texture for the palmtree! [edit] SLOPES ADDED WHOOOOOOOOOOT!! Added and fully working I'm the best lol
LarkSS
By fully working, do you mean you can make it in the level editor already too? Awesome btw.
Dobermann
yes! and you can rotate the slope PS: you can also rotate the tree, and the futur 3D rock.
LarkSS
omg yes. Is it possible to select the steepness of the slope? And if so, did you make it so the more steep the slope, the harder it is to climb it?
ssbfalcon
May I say you have the most amazing MMF project ever seen in history?
Dobermann
Nop you can't, it's a slope of the size of a normal wall.
LarkSS
Ah, I see. I thought you might be able to select steep ones or ones that stretch to the length of two block pieces to lower the steepness of the slope you showed in the pic. Anyway though, it's awesome to see something other than flat land. Good luck with the project. BTW, would it be possible to apply a texture with animation by having several pics and making a system for the texture to go through each pic in order? That way you could have moving water and a water fall and such. If you already did it ( can't remember the last demo too well ), then never mind it. xhedgehogx
Are there loops? Or haven't you got to those yet?
LarkSS
Uh, loops are pretty dang hard to create when it comes to 3D. It's possible, but I have no idea how someone would go about it.
Dobermann
I'm not working on the loopongs for the moment (very hard!!!) The water is animated; and i think you don't really undersound what i'm doing... For the moment i'm making a game, the level editor is for my personnal use! I'm not doing a sonic game maker program
LarkSS
I understand what you're doing, I do the same thing sometimes. I was just thinking of ways that you could make your level editor better so you could design better levels for Sonic Remix is all.
Dobermann
Ah, ok then! Well right now i hav some troubles with texture mapping of my 3D models, i'm waiting for a person using 3ds max to help me to corectly texturate my two models (done by metal-geo) See how it bugs:
LarkSS
It's looking real nice so far. The model of the rock looks very decent, it just needs the corrected texture like you said. Seeing this is making me wanna attempt to make my own 3D game. Too bad my computer wouldn't handle it. Just outta curiousity, seeing these 3D models makes me wonder if you're going to make the monitors in 3D. ( If there is any )
DimensionWarped
Once I get my computer back, I can give him my 3D model for a monitor... I also have it mapped with textures for ring, extra life, and some other stuff... Classic style, not the silly bubbles like in Sonic Adventure or the 3 sided tvs like in Heroes. LarkSS
Heh, that's perfect since that was exactly what I was getting at. I think the monitor type instead of the bubblish container fits the game much better.
Dobermann
Yeah, thank you DW IF i don't find anyone to help me with my models prob, could you help me? Endpanel ^
Andrew
Dobermann, you're making me want to muck around with the OpenGL extension.
LarkSS
Yay, finally a way to complete the act. When I see you charging your spindash in that pic, I think of how dangerous it must be since you would most likely fly off the edge due to the speed. I'm not saying to change anything, it's just that pic is giving me an o-noes feeling. =/
Dobermann
Thats just the beta level test! And if ou don't want to fall, dont do a spindash in front of a fall Maybe i should add the skid for the spindash... well like you make your spindash and you press backward to skid, so you stop the spindash and don't fall! What do you think of that? :
LarkSS
That would be perfect actually.
Dobermann
So when i'll be back to my home (tomorrow) I'll add the spike to the game and the skid for the spindash!

Dobermann
Yeah thank you man ^^ Don't forget to connect you to your MSn account sometimes when you have time! [edit] Spykes added But i can't add a skid move for the spindash BECAUSE when you do the rolling or the spindash, you lose the control of sonic until its speed is equal 0! But don't worry, i will not make a sonic xtreme level style
