Guest Shadix
You are taking a gamble for a coaster simply by using something that doesn't usually work with DC games. (at least I've never had any luck. The cds never selfboot with Express)
Glaber
You're telling that to some one who got selfbooting Emulators for dreamcast to work using express.
Guest Shadix
Alright, well, instead of arguing about it how bout you try and see if it works? I was merely stating that you might be taking a chance just by refusing to use one of the burning tools known to work. (I honestly don't see why getting Burning Rom or Alcohol 120% is too much for you...)
LiQuidShade
I've just tried the new version using regular Nero and it worked! The old one didn't, using the same method, so if some of you haven't been having much luck so far and wasted many discs already.. try one more. =) Great job Taxman, you can really see the difference in the engine between this and the original 2002 demo. Feels a little bit different to the regular Sonic engine at first, but you get used to it, and I think I'd be quite happy if you didn't make any changes to it at all, really. There are a couple of small bugs though, like when Tails' sprite is at a certain, strange angle and you take flight, his flying sprite will still be at that odd angle, rather than straight. Really looking forward to the full demo. =)
Glaber
the latest nero trial wants to uninstall all my current Nero programs (with 2 exceptions), Alcohol 120% said something about a Kernel debugger but is not as much a concern unless I find out otherwise. any way, I'm off to try again. LarkSS
Quote:Originally Posted by LarkSS I'm going to have to get on my dad's comp to burn the file. Thing is, I'm not sure if it has Nero or not. If it doesn't, would burning it using Windows Media Player do the same? lol, no. =| I guess I could obviously download it, but I just wanted to avoid any unnecessary hassles. Mark the Echidna
Awesome. Got it to burn and load correctly on my DC. Retro-Sonic is officially the best thing since sliced bread.
Glaber
It WORKED! Now to critise the game. In Emerald hill as Knuckles I glided into an enemy and expected it to get destroyed. instead it hurt me. other than that it's really good.

Mark the Echidna
No, you couldn't. It's based on Windows CE, so Chankast can't emulate it.

Super Napalm
Hmm, reminds me of the times I used to try and put DreamSNES onto a disc, I had about 20 coasters before I succeded I just need to get a set of CD's now, I'll probably buy a pack of 50 since I can afford it. Mark the Echidna
You know, for Dreamcast CDs to work properly... it's better to burn them and the lowest speed possible... like 4x.

Damizean
Or DVD Decrypter, wich is totally freeware and works with a good range of isos. All the console game isos I've burned with this, worked on the respectives consoles: http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/1011845169/

Damizean
Yes. You've got to switch to burn mode: Mode >> ISO >> Write. Then, on the source box, select the iso, set the destination writer, the burn speed and enjoy
