BlazefireLP
Sonic Between The Sequels. It's the "SonicHenceforth" thing all over again isn't it? xD [qimg]http://holenet.info/junks/hopingtohavesomethingtoshowofthisatsage2012.png[/qimg] Knowing where the level graphics are from ruins it for me kinda. Nice monitor though. I also loved your screenshot Techokami. That sprite looks preety cool! Just out of curiosity, whatever happened to SONIC++? Techokami
Knowing where the level graphics are from ruins it for me kinda. Truth be told it's actually being replaced with completely original graphics, but the artist who volunteered to do all of it is busy with another project, so I'll just keep using this until it's done. I'm patient.
snow toilet
[qimg]http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/6405/desertdemolition1.png[/qimg] I thought that Cstyler's screenshot looked familiar but I had this feeling for a second that it was Taz Escape from Mars. The ParadoxX
Just out of curiosity, whatever happened to SONIC++? It's evolving, slow as hell, but it is =)
BlazefireLP
Would be brilliant if you could show us something to let us know what it even looks like as of now. I've been wondering this same question ever since you put it into your Sig.
The ParadoxX
I've posted something in this topic not much time ago... I might create a blog or something and attach it into my sig soon...
BlazefireLP
Sounds like a good idea. I didn't catch what you posted unfortunately.
FanGameRevolver
Currently playing an awesome game called cave story. ...and so, as any other insane person interested in game development I'm inspired to make a fan game prequel sort of thing. Also I love how well the sonic CD pieces seem to mesh with the cave story sprites.
BlazefireLP
Even though I probably never seen those tiles before and before I read you saying "the sonic CD pieces seem to mesh with the cave story sprites." I still thought of SonicCD instantly. It's a weird mash of styles in theory but it works in my opinion.
Carl Winslow
you're gonna really need to tone down background palettes with the cave story sprites. they're designed to have really high contrast and the bug handing around on the pipes will be difficult to see if you don't do tweaking. anyway in some bizarro world where I could program or make games, you would play as a crate robot that hides and backstabs enemies in order to get weapons. Rawr
Fuck man, I love your 3D. Its got a MML vibe to it, but its still really distinctly your own.

Haha, if they flew across that bit they would just about vanish.

LakeFeperd
oh well.... just an attempt to make something 100% custom does it needs something to make it look better?
JetHawk95
I think it looks perfect as it is :3 Nice work :')
Carl Winslow
yeah gotta say it looks really nice, though not sure if the really subtle colors used to make it rougher are necessary or not. they work well, but not sure how many people would notice it. VirtAnderson
I really like that robot model, Gungriffon. It really feels like an older PS2/N64 model. Is that what you were going for?
LakeFeperd
Tiles, grass and tree are 100% custom... yeah, it's hilltop heights background is just a placeholder btw i'm just in a doubt about the tree

Chaos-Fusion
Umm, I've never made a tiles set before so any suggestions on how I can improve this? It's not finished yet but the base design is done. 32 x 32 tiles
BlazefireLP
For a first time tile-set you seem to look like you know what you are doing. If it is for something that has a normal Genesis Sonic, then it'd be a bit too small. Perhaps double it up. I really like what I am seeing though. The grass reminds me of Angel-island and the ground pattern reminds me of my old desert tiles. A single tile in size is typically 128x128. I think in SonicCD it's double that. Sparks
Sonic 1 and CD use 256x256. The zig zags seem too small for a Genesis style level though. and Blazefire, the Desert Dazzle screen is already clean in Sonic CD, you just had to rip it. :/
