Betaman
Thanks UC. I've edited more things to make it my own rather than having a lot of things left over from the engine test. (Which is okay, I just don't like the engine's default stuff. ESPECIALLY THE CRAPPY "Cell Shaded" graphics.) I think I might add another option to turn something off, like the Spindash or something.(I know that there are people out there that complain about other people putting the Spindash in Sonic 1 because they said it makes it too easy.) Now, I've made it so that you can go FAST. If you use the jump dash wisely, you can hit a red up spring from the side, launch yourself over a fair bit of the level, and gain a LUDICROUS amount of speed when you land. That's just with the jumpdash. With the spindash, you can also gain a ton of speed simply by charging and launching up a hill. With the spindash off, you can earn a lot more of the speed you get. Strife
Hyper - Looks sweet. SPIN GLORIOUSLY! Overbound - Judging by the likelihood that the purple tiles are rotating, I'd say that's a ferris wheel. Am I correct? =D
OverbounD
Yup, the plan is for it to come off its hinges and chases Sonic.
Spike
It must be a massive object...
BlazefireLP
It is massive. It's 372x372.
BlazefireLP
Bump: This is my third attempt at the 1ST Zone artwork. What do you guys think?
Hybrid35
Still, the tiles need some shading IMO. I still like it

sonicyoda
I actually wouldn't change that at all. Very pretty.
Hybrid35
Ok, I see you changed it and NOW it looks nice.
BlazefireLP
I'm currently still tinkering with it, it'll look different next time you see it.
OverbounD
That looks really nice blazefire. But honestly all of your first level art looked good. You should post it all together and have people vote.
BlazefireLP
Ha, thanks. I may do soon. I should probably think about doing a topic soon anyways. My personal favorite though is this one. Edit: Near final now
Betaman
I figured that I'd port a couple of features from the old Time Attacked remake I was doing for a while, just to see how they'd work in my game. Here you can see the link feature, which is VERY buggy at the moment due to me never finishing the coding for it. (It goes up, but it never goes back down! I'm still fixing it.) EDIT: I'm probably going to take out the LINK feature anyhow. It's not really useful, and it's just a buggy part of a remake that'll never be finished. I will include some stuff from the old remake that was better off than the LINK system, but that's for another day.
Strife
BrushFire/UC - The grass has a fabulous Advance feel to it, but I think the dirt looks like it'd fit better with Genesis sprites. Maybe try adding a bit of noise to the dark brown dirt behind the diamonds? Betaman - Yeah, it's probably better if you take out the Link feature, if only for the fact that its inclusion would cause the HUD to take up 1/4th of the screen. xD;
BlazefireLP
Brushfire? HAHA, that's a new one. lol. I'll try to give it some texture. Not quite sure how to go about that get though. Edit: "Looks at username". Wait, what the fuck? O_O
Hybrid35
Oh LAWL, I just noticed that. And I hope to see the finished project Bush. Oh and Betaman, Sonic is a bit too dark imo. But thats just me
BlazefireLP
You should replace him with the edit I did for yah Betaman. Just sayin.
Betaman
Yeah, the link system I made sucks, it's getting removed for inconvenience. I'm waiting until I get some major stuff done with the engine before I change some of the smaller things, like Sonic himself. Trust me, the Sonic sprite will be replaced...eventually. luksamuk
Just a concept of something I don't even know what is, using the monochromatic ink effect. I was feeling depressive. It's not something I'm going to... well, I won't keep working on this exactly. EDIT: Don't ask why I posted this.
BlazefireLP
Lh: Why did you post it? *bricked*... On a serious note, here is the near enough final design of Tidal Coast Zone.
Hybrid35
Oh look epic Background, nice tiles, werid trees... Yup thats a nice level for yah.
Sparks
LH: You are entering the Twilight Zone.. Act 1. Brush: The design reminds me too much of BlazeHedgehogs' level. I'd rather see level tiles that I haven't seen before. Grass is fine.
