Apricity
It has a basic Robotnik programmed, I might make a simple boss but I'm not sure I really need to spoonfeed people that much. Define, complete engine.
JetHawk95
Some of us aren't all that great at making and alarms and stuff for bosses.. I know I'm not xD Need to implement some simple badniks too.. I could work on that? Dont think I can make it change the score though
Apricity
There's already a buzzbomber. I can add a few more if you want. I'll probably implement a chain scoring systme but atm scoring just gives a hundred for each badnik. Or if you'd like to add some badniks feel free. toaster1
Just want to say - I hope you can make some sort of widescreen support for the game camera, like Sonic CD's upcoming remake. Truly that would be a huge graphical enhancement to Sonic D+, distinguishing it from the old Damizean Engine-derirative games that litter this site at the moment (Sonic Genesis included)
Apricity
I'm honestly confused about the whole "widescreen support" thing? Run me through it?
toaster1
Basically, wider screen resolution for gameplay. Support for that- having more space to be able to see more of what's ahead of you, flattening all of the stats across the top (except for the lives, still bottom corner) and... I guess, that's it. It would be graphically impressive, I guess.
Apricity
I'd have to change the whole engine, I'm not sure it's worth it.
toaster1
I don't think you'd have to change the whole engine... Maybe increase the distance GSI works from slightly, and increase the size of the camera object's following camera in the levels. It's all easy stuff to do, but some native support would work wonders.
Apricity
And change the size of every room. There'd end up being two versions of each release one with widescreen and one without.
Apricity
Is there anything people intend to add themselves or would like adding?
toaster1
Hold on, I'm sure I posted earlier. In any case, what I said then was that you don't need to change the size of every room. I remember once when I was trawling through the help files I found that there were functions to change the camera following size in real time. In fact, what I'm suggesting is easier, because it can just be put in at startup. Although you would need to resize the menu room's boundaries (but just have the camera set to the smaller size) the normal levels can be left as is! I think this would work. If such a function does not exist please disregard.
Apricity
I'd have to change the "port to screen" variables. I'd have to change the camera vraiables. All variables using the camera and positioning. All the GSI. It's not worth it.
toaster1
Port to screen variables are, in fact, also probably changable during real time. Also, you mentioned camera variables twice. I just thought that this would be a better engine if it had the option, attracting more usage, making it helpful for those who want to apply an extra layer of customisation upon their game. Apricity
Camera variables in the camera object and the camera and positioning variables in other objects that make them work and appear at certain points. Well if people want it they can add it to the engine themselves I guess. I'm a bit bored of doing all the work then getting little to no feedback in return. toaster1
:[ It's just early days, bro. Feedback won't immediately pop out of thin air in force. Sorry if I'm thinking of too many ideas and not contributing enough... I just can't really focus at the moment, since school is returning and I have to learn all about laptops to know which will be best for me. Apricity
It just seems like a lot of work that's all. I'll give it a go I guess. It's okay, I'm pretty stressed at the moment, sorry.
Apricity
What would the screen size be?
Mr.S
Here is something you can, I've just added it to one of my levels. I'm not sure what you would call this gimmick:

Apricity
That is very sexy. Grab Poles? Or Cling Poles? Very nice, will you be adding them to the engine?
BlazefireLP
And as a MMF2 user I like to see what people show that GM has to offer in terms of Sonic engines. : )

Apricity
It would look out of place, it's a nice design but it doens't fit with the rest of the game because it's not pixellised. I do like it though! Although I might use your design and pixel up a more suitable version?
