Super Napalm
Portal 2 Early Release Countdown ended and now Steam players have the oppotunity to get Valve to release Portal 2 early by playing the Potato Sack games. Clever marketing by Valve as it'll give some indie games a sales boost as well as generating more hype. Guess I'll be playing Audiosurf for a while... shadowgoten
I did my part, got a bunch of potatoes in each game I actually own out of that pack, I may start running audio surf indefinitely in the background all day. I really want to play this game.
Cyber Rat
I can't keep my PC idle this weekend, but I tried playing as much as I could to get the potatoes. Fuck the ones on Audiosurf though...

Kirs
Valve organized all this marketing strategy just for release the game just a bunch of hours before oMG PD Prepurchased and ready to play
shadowgoten
actually the timer is now at 1 day and a little over 6 hours, so we should be playing tomorrow night, maybe earlier if the concentrated effort keeps going as well as it has. Also the overall progress bar has been moving pretty fast now that so many potatoes have been gathered
Scarletdark
I'm trying really hard to get the audiosurf ones. I really want to play portal 2 already. Only thing that sucks is that the game will comeout during the week and I have school, giving me virtually no time to play. Unless I skip... shadowgoten
The audio surf song is hard as shit to get, I gave up on it, didn't even try the killing floor song. I got the other ones though. Some of the potatoes were a pain to get, but at the same time, I really enjoyed playing these games, gave me a reason to sit down and put them through the paces. I've had bit.trip.beat running in teh background for like 4 hours , and I snagged all the potatoes in that one, this is fun lol
shadowgoten
We're in overclocking mode now, potatoes are counting backwards. The ARG wiki has some news on it, it seems it should deplete at about 9 EST
Cyber Rat
Some rumours: People who were really involved in the ARG are currently at Valve, playing Portal 2 (there are nine of them at the moment). It seems that people who got the Golden Potato will be receiving the Valve complete pack, which includes an additional copy of Portal 2.
shadowgoten
spent a good 5 hours playing through the single player. This is definitely GOTY material, the story is insane, and I'm digging it all the way through. Multiplayer seems to have some sort of equipment system to outfit your bots, one of my TF2 hats carried over.

Cyber Rat
Beat the game. It's like Portal 1, only better. A proper sequel, IMO.
shadowgoten
I just beat it...WOW is all I can say. This game takes portal 1, and expands upon it completely turning, adding even MORE flavor to the game, so much backstory is presented to you, so many twists, the puzzles are pretty engaging. I had a few moments where I was legitimately stumped. All in all, it's already in the running for GOTY in my eyes. We'll see what else comes out this year. Going to try out some co-op later, I'll let you guys know how that goes.
Asuma
Someone gift me.=P Seriously though, I hope I can get this job at McDonalds so I could buy it. This and Disgaea 4 is on my wantlist of this year.
DimensionWarped
Just finished. Whoa. It's much bigger than the first. It took me a solid 8 hours and that's without ever being stumped on a single puzzle for more than 10 minutes. It's not all better than the first though. There aren't exactly any areas that really test your ability to think quickly and the story and the humor tend to drag a little at times. Overall though, this game is mighty. shadowgoten
I haven't been so fucking psyched over an ending to a game in a long time, this was a refreshing game in a sea of mediocre garbage we have to trudge through day after day.
