DimensionWarped
This isn't really an argument. It's just one of those nerdy things.
duckythemutant
So can James Bond, Scrooge McDuck, and Eric Cartman. That doesn't make them superheroes. In a way, James Bond is... Cartman doing stuff like that is only for comical humor, and Scrooge McDuck uses his crew (gizmoduck, launch pad, grandkids, etc.)
DimensionWarped
Saying James Bond is a superhero is just silly... (The google test James Bond superhero proves it). I mean, let's be real here... the difference between Batman and Bond isn't that Batman has better gadgets/more strength/whatever... its that he is a comic book character. If that is what defines superheroism, then being a superhero isn't all its cracked up to be (Aquaman being a case in point). Take everything else though, and they are basically the same. They both get all the women. They both fight fucked up enemies with city/world toppling plots, they both used pimped out gadgets to get the job done, and they are both champions of combat through use of their mind. Yet James Bond is just a hero while Batman is something more... Is just being a hero somehow a bad thing? Or is it because he hangs out with Superman in non-canon crossovers? duckythemutant
Well since super heroes don't exist, we should agree to disagree ;p
DimensionWarped
Ok. But Batman theoretically could exist if some crazy whacked out rich kid had his parents killed and became some psychopathic vengence driven dark knight type guy. Pheonix Gamma
Link is Batman but with a sword. Therefore he's a superhero.
Guest Shadix
Doesn't Link have the MAGICAL POWER OF THE TRIFORCE though? ...and James Bond is a Superhero. I also think Chuck Norris and Mr. T would fit superhero description too. :E Damn you Marvel\DC for degrading the value of non-radioactive superheroes. Mark the Echidna
You guys are getting it totally wrong. It's not the powers, energy beams, super-human strength or how much people you save that makes you a super hero... I mean, look at this: See the difference? Batman uses his underwear over his pants. James Bond doesn't. And that's why Batman is a super hero, and James Bond is not.

duckythemutant
Wait, Professor Moriarty is considered a "supervillian" and he doesn't have any super powers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Professor_Moriarty I think it takes the same thing for a hero to become a superhero as does a villian to become a supervillian... Sockman
All the folks interviewed were white guys. And here I thought an anime was a Japanese cartoon... I'm not complaining, though. This beats the fuck out of 99% of the anime Japan shits out, anyway.
