  1. I was turned away from the midi guitars to begin with, but when everything else kicked in I was highly impressed. You need to do more of this!
  2. May I ask, what will the next preview release have in it? You've basically covered the standards of classic Sonic in 3D anyways (of which skills I envy ).
  3. Lol thanks for the comments guys. Yes it's a prerender, but it won't look too different once we get the engine ported to Blitzmax, add shaders and effects to it and port this in.
  4. Well, that's just the test level for ya. I was a little bothered by that myself, but we've already built off of it and it's been improved.
  5. Eh. Not much to show off, and I'm not too happy with what we're showing off so far. Hopefully we could get our other stuff out soon to show off, because I feel like one of those amateur Blitzsonic n00bs right now.
  6. It will always be somewhat "slippery", but the only reason he seems to be is because of the same reason Sonic seems to have floaty jumping in Sonic 4: his animations are awkward. Instead of having turning-while-moving animations in the bland Blitzsonic engine when you go in a diagonal direction, he just faces that direction, leaving this awkward feeling to the movement. Another reason it seems slippery is because his animation speed depends on the speed of your movement, which makes it also look twice as awkward. Also, having no braking animation makes it even worse. Sonic will have a "leaning left or right but still facing forward" movement when you press the diagonal keys, the animations will stay at a constant speed (probably besides when rolling), and Sonic will have braking animations. @Gear_the_Hedgehog: You mean that platform Sonic gets on that launches him forward (also seen in Wacky Workbench in SCD)? Or those panels on the sides of the fortress? Either way we're gonna try and code in as many gimmicks as possible into the engine, and although that could most likely be done, I have to say it probably won't be since this is just a test level after all.   7. Thank God were actually using it correctly. Were currently using WFZ as the test level to test out gimmicks. Like fore example, we just got it where the stage can rotate much like Sky Deck from SA1. We also have given Sonic his rolling physics (along with a proper roll and Spindash), are currently building level changing, shadows for Sonic and other objects, menus, badniks, and texture mapping abilities that will improve the graphics in the stages.

  9. Speaking of 3D stages with 16-bit textures.. Wing Fortress. Although it's obvious the ones on here are placeholder for high quality textures to soon be made. Plus, it's just a test level. Also the fact that it's rather low-poly, which could be fixed with some touching up. WFZ stage modelled by Eight-Bit Dragon. Btw, yes I know, Blitzsonic and all. But don't fret about that; this won't be crappy like everything else done with it so far. =V
  10. I didn't do the model; Jeztac did. He's like a model god. I am currently the leader of the project, making the concepts, being project coordinator and inputting art and stuff to it. When I get the chance I'll post up more stuff.

  12. The Beatles are my favorite band; and I like all of their entire career, from the beginning to the end. Although if I was to pick one part of their career that was best though, I'd have to say around the White Album and Abbey Road. However the Rubber Soul-Revolver-Sgt. Pepper period was pretty ace, too. The Magical Mystery Tour-Yellow Submarine era (whenever they were really tripping on acid) were actually to me the most "meh" parts of their run. As for the rest (Please Please Me, Help!, Beatles for Sale, etc.) I have a strong liking for them too. I do love the Rolling Stones and Bowie though. Also a fan of the Doors, The Monkees, Hall & Oates, The Byrds, Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix and all them good kids. And since I consider "classic rock" anything under the title of "rock & roll" all the way until the late '80s, I'll consider Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Sweet, ZZ Top, Lynnard Skynnard, Bruce Springsteen and AC/DC on that list too. Classic rock to me just sounds better than modern rock ever will. Take that, you depressing emo-punks. And lol, just noticed how many people called George Harrison George Carlin XD
  13. It needs quite a bit of work. Sonic seems to get wonky in movement when moving on a downward incline; which is one of the most important things he traverses across! But it is a rather good start. Maybe working more with the engine's physics you could get better results with the character collision, but who knows; I haven't messed with Irrlicht before.

  16. Leon: Basically what happened is that I went to the Stage Select. At the end of the levels with 50 rings, the Super Ring popped up (like usual). But, as soon as I pass the goalpost, I lose all control of Sonic and it doesn't let me move him so I could get it in the Super Ring. BUT, at one point I was able to reach the Super Ring (by jumping before I passed the goalpost), and I didn't go through! The Super Ring just remained spinning there like I never touched it, and (of course) once I landed it disabled me from being able to move again. =\ Could this have to do with it being Stage Select? Since I did notice that every level is unlocked (along with every Emerald) as soon as you enter it.
  17. BTW, why don't the Special Stages work? I've jumped up towards the Super Ring before and nothing happened...

  19. I might not come here much, but THIS event sure caught my eye. I was going to put mine in, "ShadoW Fukks uP j0r Gaym", but I couldn't put it up since it was on a different computer. I personally don't know what you guys meant by bad games. Those were some of the best games I have ever played. ANYWAYS,..... .I agree with ShootingStar on Egg-Rocky. It was funny but not easy. .New Sonic was epic. Nuff said. Except that I had no idea how to beat the final boss. .Red the Hedgehog actually has a couple of my ideas already implemented into my game I was gonna post in RAGE. I coincidentially have the Sonic Worlds title marked out in red with "Shadow, Bitch!!" alot like the "Red TH" on there, and I also had my voice for sound effects, like on there too. I guess it's good I didn't put mine on. Oh well, Red was also fun, I liked that the engine had seriously been fucked. XP .GROWABEARD was funny, not just because of it's epic HD quality () but that I couldn't get out of the opening cutscene where the plot was told. It just stayed there, which I guess added humour to it. .Evil the Hedgehog was rather good. Almost too good to be in RAGE, though. .Sonic & Dawn was, well, odd, but I liked it still for the fact of it's satire. .Rael and Lark's were one of the worst, which is awesome (I suppose) in RAGE WORLD... .Rushed Adventure is a seven-year-old's dream (or fanfiction, or whatever). The fusion of three gay lovers, a crappy game, one international HIT!! .ZSonic thing was frikkin' hilarious. That is all. .Commander Squiggles was the most awesome game of them all. And I MUST know what that song is in the awesome. -Azukara
