  1. I'm learning to program Wii homebrew, and was wondering if it's a good idea to make a Sonic fangame on the Wii. It will most likely be 2d.(Unless I learn more about the Wii's GX API) Any ideas?

Bleh, Apple... I like their portable devices, but, as my mom once said, their computers are "Idiot friendly and user incompatible." I agree. I prefer Linux or XP, but I'm stuck with Fedora and Vista XP.
  3. Uhh, like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOQBCAd4ICI But WAAAAAAYYY better! ( I did that in an hour.)
  4. I've done short videos before, it wasn't that hard. Maybe CG was the wrong word? I mean, just a little intro, done with blender.
  5. Hello people, it's me, Alonguy, and I'm still working on a 3d Sonic engine based on SA1/SA2 with some added original ideas. Since I'm taking a break from programming, I decided to use Blender to rig the SSBB Sonic model. Then, I got a great idea during P.E. class last week. How about a CG intro for the game? I was thinking about recreating some of the game-rendered cutscenes from the 2 games. The first one I thought of was the beginning of SA2 where Sonic jumps out of the GUN helicopter. But, I'm not sure. What would you guys suggest? Any help is greatly appreciated! EDIT: A link to the old thread: http://www.sonicfangameshq.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6120
  6. Great! Soon as I get my engine evolved, I'll give it to you.
  7. I really don't like Torque because it's too set in place as an FPS. I found that rather annoying.
  8. You just inspired me to start back up with 2d game design, maybe when I need a break from the Sonic Adventure (AlonGames) engine. Thanks! I missed spriting!
  9. Hmm... seems pretty cool, but I'm already started with Irrlicht. See: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p25Zf88emI4
  10. Thanks. I'm still a beginner... I barely started using Irrlicht over Christmas, so it may be a while, though. But Irrlicht is easy to use compared to my previous engine, Torque.
  11. Hmmm... maybe if you're willing to use something BESIDES MMF2, I could help! I'm learning C++ and I've got a 3d engine started, using Irrlicht. I'm going to make it SA/SA2 style, and I want to contribute to some one's project somehow.
  12. It was awesome, I saw it in 2d. Was the 3d version better? I thought I would throw up if I saw the 3d version. Avatar the Nicktoon totally sucks! Was that supposed to look like anime? It SUCKED! I couldn't understand why my roomate used to watch that crap.
  13. Dang, I'm not alone! I have trouble trying to get Sonic to conform to the ground in the Irrlicht engine! Is that method above the solution?
  14. Thanks, I will. You know, I used to use mmf2... I always went here for resources.
  15. Heh, that was the old version. To fix that glitch, I made EVERYTHING smaller in the Sonic/Shadow demo. The reason the physics are messed up is because I can't figure the correct formula to get Sonic to "conform" to the terrain he's standing on. (I tried so many things...) But, anyway, I tried to lip synch Sonic's mouth in the first part (The voice was part of the game, just me practicing!).
