  1. To be honest MMF is more geared towards absolute novices in the beginning stages. Once you learn all the basics, you can start making games, but really need to know what you're doing once you want to proceed to more advanced games such as sonic physics. Game Maker on the other hand takes a while to get used to, and also is more geared towards people who might also be familiar with programming. More people seem to use it and think it is easy to get the hang of. If you master MMF, the games produced are generally higher quality than Game Maker, but it might take you a while to learn. But Game Maker is probably an easier learning curve in the long run. Neither program requires you to know anything about programming though. They are both point and click format/grid type programs. Hope that helps.
  2. My suggestion is that you really try to start learning to make games in MMF or Game Maker. You're offering help and want to join a team, which is a good thing, but you don't really have any credentials as of yet in making games. Unless it's artwork or music that is your current strong point, I would highly suggest taking a look at some tutorials and starting your own project. You don't have to even show it to the public since you say you aren't confident. Just learn to make your own in order to have some skill under your belt. That being said. I'd be happy to take up your offer to be on my team. My project isn't new, but it's nowhere near finished. Here's the thread. PM me with any ideas or what you had in mind to help.
  3. Hows that 1.2C or 1.3 coming along Larks/MCK? Keep up the good work guys, I love what you've done to the engine. Oh, here are a couple more user friendly (no pop-up/waiting) mirrors to 1.2B http://ifile.it/vm85boy/Sonic_Worlds_Delta_V1.2b.7z (Click request download ticket, then click download) http://www.mediafire.com/?nt662uqes14emkn
  4. A little TOO cocky don't you think? I've always been impressed with Robo blast, and you have a ways to go before having the right to talk down on that project. Lol no Humility. Was there any reason at all to try to take a shit on their game by saying it is the equivalent to a hamburger? MAD unnecessary. What you could've said was, "I'm not a big fan of Robo Blast personally. I respect their project, but I am going to strive to make my own project even better!" Edit: Well I've seen that you want to keep peace, but just try not to bash other people's work unnecessarily
  5. I'm super impressed also. Those boss battles are the best boss ideas that I have ever seen in a fan game. Keep up the good work, and don't give up on this! Slow and steady man.
  6. Lol, I jumped over the green tunnel area and the game went into an infinite cycle of rolling and spin sounds.
  7. Small update, haven't worked on this in a while but I'm getting back into it. Made a small playable site for it http://netcolony.com/flame/SonicBlackout/ New logo and a little information. I WILL have a playable demo out soon
  8. Yall nigs don't want to see remakes of link to the past in 3d. I want to see THAT link in his model form.
  9. Thanks guys. I think I will now research all that I can about animation in order to improve this one. And it does look sloppy because I did it during just one of my classes, it has 8 frames. If i intricately draw multiple frames and take my time I am sure that I can create something good
  10. Today was my last day of school work, I graduate on Wednesday . I just drew a random sonic picture and wanted to turn it into a running scene. I never took art or any animation, nor do i know like basic rules or guidelines of animating a character i just winged it and drew it freehand lol. Just kind of played how a person running would look in my mind and drew it on paper. I tried to have kind of 3d effect by making his head turn in 3 different positions. What do you guys think. There's 8 frames and it took me about an hour to do. It's pretty challenging but a lot easier than i imagined i thought it would take days lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qw1F34iYM1w
  11. You guys already know this, but it is possible to transfer your between sonic adventure and sonic adventure 2 by using the chao adventure. You can also transfer chao between sonic adventure 2 battle and adventure dx by loading to tiny chao garden and then to the other game. So, if these games are going to be digitally released, I wonder if chao will still be interchangeable between the two games or not... It comes in useful because I transformed my chao into a chaos chao, then transferred to DX to win the races ezpz.
  12. while i've played through this many times and think it is the best game on the dreamcast, I'm not interested too much because it is a single player game. Why rebuy a single player game you've beaten 8 times with no significant motivation besides the novelty of having it on xbox? The true marvel will be SONIC ADVENTURE 2 on xbox, because its multilayer. I'll bust all yall ngas up in a chao karate session lol.
  13. what do you think. I'm not all that good of an artist yet, this one of my better freehand drawings (still characters look lopsided lol)
  14. I think the iphone version won't be too dramatically different from the official games. I say official because I don't think putting the game on the iphone is legit lol. But yeah they'll probably just use pre-rendered sprites and dumb the mine cart and casino street gimmick on there and call it a day. Oh, and it's going to control like crap.
  15. Looks pretty smooth compared to a lot of the other 3d games i've seen. nice job. One thing, when sonic walks his animations are a little too slow in comparison to his speed. Speed up his walking frames a bit.
