Bosco
Maybe an explanation is necesary. I'm making a fangame that tries to imitate the feeling of playing Sonic The Hedgehog for the Game Gear, using my own static engine. It's not something really complicated, in other words, it's the same thing as Sonic The Hedgehog for the Game Gear: this time it's for PC, it has different levels, different music, some new original graphics by me, and a few ideas that weren't implemented in the original Game Gear edition. Basically that's the meaning of the word "Alternative" in the game's name. Screenshots: Actually, it's just called: Sonic The Hedgehog. This is the island where all the story happens. And gameplay screenshots: You can walk, run, jump, do the spin attack, and much more. Enemies haven't been implemented yet. Well, that's all for now I guess. Ollie
Oh hey Bosco, interesting concept for a project. I'm loving the look of the title screen and world map, can't wait to see how actual levels turn out.
sonicyoda
Confusing concept but 8-bit styled fangames are always welcome! Can't wait to see it in action and/or have a crack at a demo. Loving the title screen and map artwork as well. Very nice.
Bosco
Thank you very much guys, I'll upload videos soon. By the way, this engine works perfectly with Sonic The Hedgehog's original levels, I might include them as extras in this fan game, what do you think? Just look:
Hypersonic645
Hell yes, put in as extras. Anyway, this game looks very promising, I can't wait for it!
Bosco
Screenshots showing the Bonus Stage: You must collect 50 rings, in each Bonus Stage. You run through a street with pseudo 3D effects, collecting rings and avoiding the obstacles. The spikes are obstacles, you lose 5 rings if you touch them. You can jump over them to avoid getting hurt. You must do that, or else.

luksamuk
This project seems amazing. I can't wait to play that. Sometimes, a simple 8-bit game gives you more fun than the complicated 16-bit ones. And anyways, happy birthday, Bosco.
