  1. I hope that background would have some layered scrolling!! Then it would look fantastic!
  2. I believe they're using ultimate 3D, an advanced extension for Game Maker for their Sonic Xtreme remake and using the C4 engine to developer Andrew75's Sonic CD Remix project. I could be mistaken though it's switch back and forth throughout the years
  3. So I'm creating a small game in XNA to help further my knowledge in how C# works: I started the game this morning, it's is called "Chaoagotchi" and is a simple Tamagotchi/Virtual Pet game that is designed to run in the background (When not in use) while you continue with your every day computer browsing routine, but remember to keep checking back! For example, when you first run the game you'll be presented with a Chao egg: It just sits there quite happily until 5 minutes into the game: From here you'll need to make sure that your Chao remains well fed and happy, for example using the trumpet: Will keep the Chao's happiness up. I know it's looking very bare at the moment, but the reason why I'm showing this project off so early is that I need some concept and direction from anyone reading this. The first thing I'm going to be concentrating on is the actual interface for the game, as well as mini games or something to increase or decrease the Chao's skills such as (Flying, Swimming, etc) So if any of you who is reading this has ay ideas for how the interface should work or how I could incorporates how to change the Chao's skills then fire away!
  4. Is it just me or is the server unbearably lagging for the past few days? I try and dig a few blocks but they just reappear and jolt me back to where I was originally standing before digging.
  5. Yeah, anyone who had TNT in their inventory had it all stripped from them. Same here.
  6. Well I was on two nights ago and it was fine, so I'm guessing yesterday morning(GMT). Was anyone on at this time?
  7. It was Smidge's underground escape tube thing.
  8. I did use some TNT but only deep underground. It was only intended for blowing up mass holes for an underground cave, I asked DW on the server if it was fine to do so. It wasn't me causing any issues was it?
  9. Looks like a update has been released. I'm getting an "outdated client" error message, this is a stupid question but is that an error my side or server side. =\
  10. I also prefer the old one, I'm afraid. It just fits the "Sonic Style" so much better. I mean, don't get me wrong I do like the newer version you made, but I just prefer the first version. But it's your game so it's your decision on how the game looks.
  11. Well I just brought the game only just to check out this server, it seems really laid back. I have no idea what I'm doing, but hopefully I can learn while I go along.
  12. Yeah, I really can't wait for this. Saves me the trouble of stripping down and adding back in features for the Xmas Engine. After you've released it will you continue to work on future releases or is it just going to be one full release of a "modified" engine?
  13. Oh hey Bosco, interesting concept for a project. I'm loving the look of the title screen and world map, can't wait to see how actual levels turn out.
  14. A super charged jump would be a fitting move for Nack. Kinda' like how Spindash works but going upwards rather than forwards.
  15. You might want to have a look at Fileden. It supports direct links too.
  16. I still haven't finished the first one yet. What's the difference between the first and second, haven't really be following it at all.
  17. Whoops let me get that fixed, I was rushing and didn't notice. EDIT: Fixed!
  18. Uploaded it to FileDen for direct download: Sonic 3D Remix.zip EDIT: Fixed link.
  19. I also have this: It's labelled as "Sonic 3D Engine" can't remember where I actually found it (Probably searching this forum) but I think it's a previous project Dobermann made before Sonic Xtreme Remix. It only features one small level, once you completed that it simply closes itself down. Does anyone want it? Or is it widely available?
  20. I'd love to continue you it, but I start University next week so my free time will start to slowly disappear. But if I was to continue this I will totally restart it since the code isn't exactly "friendly". I'd also actually animate Metal Sonic too instead of just keeping in one stance.
  21. If it requires manual modification to change the recent uploads, then how about simply changing it to featured uploads? Saves a few minutes if uploading content is fairly regularly.
  22. Also to expand your idea, Overbound about creating a standard for rip submissions. It might be a good idea to have 256x256 or 128x128 grid templates for Level chunks for the Megadrive Games, as well as keeping the exact order they are made so Tile 00, Tile 01, Tile 02 and so on. Using a grid layout for submissions would also give the submitter a basic worksheet so that the rips are in order and consistent with other submitters work. It will also make the actual sprite sheet itself a lot more professional look since there won't be room for a giant fan character with the message of "BLANK SPACE LOL MUST GIVE CREDIT AND ASK FOR PERMISSION OR I WILL KILL YOU LOLOLOLOLOLO" that you see on various sprite sheets on the net. So again, giving the site's content a more professional appearance.
