Sonic's hanging on!

if hes just hanging on to that brown thing, then gravity should be dropping his body straight below the position of the hanging arm- and if instead hes halfway through a dynamic movement, the position of his legs just looks incorrect. it looks a bit like you drew the body and legs and then just made up something with the arms because you didnt know what to do

and it looks like you used an incredibly small brush to colour him in with, what is that about, it must have taken ages to do. use a bigger brush and add shading to sonics body if your going to do his gloves

lastly, those are overly round shoes. sonics design is meant to look sleek to emphasize speed, clunky round shoes dont really do it justice

His arms need some sort of foreshortening, do give the impression if space. Throwing in a background would also add depth.

Line quality needs to be improved. It's messy, particularly around the stomage and shoes. Try thinning out all of the chunks so you get a nice smooth line.

Sonic's shoes aren't that round.

Overall, I like it. Reminds me of the Sonic CD cutscenes. Neato.

actually Sleep, i was trying to emulate him hanging onto rails like he did in the old genesis games. He had his legs up like that.

Also, I used a small brush for two reasons. I wanted to play with my Wacom and it was a sketch. The line is not neat because it's a sketch. Next time I'll specify if something is a sketch, cause I wasn't actually looking for a critical analysis. It's no problem though, thanks.

yes i have no problem with the legs on thier own, but together with the arms they make an unbalanced awkward pose

this sonic has two arms hanging so his weight is balanced

I really love the Sonic CD style going on here. I think you need to define the joints in the limbs a little better, but that's really all I can complain about. The spines rock my socks.

The only thing is it looks like hes kind of sliding down a diagonal pole rather than hanging down something. His stance suggests hes kind of falling rather than hanging. His body shows signs of freefall, not the weight distrubution of someone hanging.

besides that the drawing itself is frigging A.

I agree with Sleep in that the position isn't really very natural, I think that the problem is that there's no sense of either direction nor perspective. Aye, it is a sketch, but just take on board what sleep is saying, though just take it with a pinch of salt
