Aaron C-T
PG: Okay, I thought it had to be more than just Sky Rail and two other levels. I just haven't played the game in awhile and didn't want to argue with DW who like.. studies these things. However, now that you've mentioned Metal Harbor and.. Green Forest/White Forest?.. I do remember quite a bit of pits. The main thing is that in a 2D game you don't always see the pits and gravity changes coming, which gives 3D games the upper hand. Pheonix Gamma
True, but the 3D Sonics had homing attack...which made falling that much easier... Infact, all of my deaths were from falling, with maybe a few from not having rings. I've only fallen if I missed a rail, or missed an enemy. Rails are tiny, plus I don't thing you could actually home in on them.
DimensionWarped
I'd have hated to try to play SA or SA2 without the homing attack. It wouldn't be necessary though if they still knew how to program physics with any decency.
Aaron C-T
What DW said. And yea.. my point was still that the pits were expected in Rush and that, even if you completely removed Blaze those pits that Duckboy hated would still be there. The game wouldn't suddenly be better and the pits less annoying just because Blaze was removed.
