  1. And that's why these actions appear as simple bullets without text. Right-clicking over the action crashes MMF2. To remove the actions, click the check icon and press your Del key.
  2. Well, what's the game's story? You could base the name in that.
  3. Do you have any ideas Ayling?
  4. Yeah, put Tails in! Having Knux would be nice, but put Tails first.
  5. It's looking good. It reminds me of Sonic DIY. @James: A static engine is not too complicated. I recommend you to use Sly's Tails static engine as a base for your game. I have a small static engine that I was going to use for SAR, but I switched to 360º now. If you want, I can put it here. And, I don't see a 'Save level' option there... ...you'll need it. If you are wondering how you can save levels with MMF, I can help you. Keep it up, James.
  6. Good idea Inferno, keep that template stage in a different .mfa, then make new levels as needed.
  7. Look carefully and slowly the comments. They explain how it works, it's sorta hard to understand first, but you'll eventually get it.
  8. Maybe your Windows needs reformatting. I'll post a tutorial on this, sorta. But it'll take quite some time.
  9. I'm still a recent member, but I got some stuff to say: Phew. Like I posted in another topic, if the moderation gets 'soft' we're dead. I'll use an example: Does anyone here know the Gaming Brasil? This site, created by Alex (Neo Sonic Universe's author) was a entire world dedicated to fangaming. It had libs, tutorials, tools, games, and a forum too. I was a member in the forum. In its early stages, this forum was small, it had some game submissions, a few tutorials, everything classified in categories, MMF, GM, RPGM, etc. However, things got rather screwy. Since 2006, the forum got filled of flame-wars, flood, double postings, and many other problems. Back then, there were many moderators. They tried to handle the situation, but it got out of control. Personally, I never saw a tough moderation there. The forum had a sorta 'warning' system, but still... Mods started to quit. And then, Alex was left all alone. Then the members started to blame him, causing chaos. The last stages of the forum were a disaster. Then Alex decided to end it all. End the pain, the suffering. He deleted everything: The forum, the projects, tutorials... The GB died in April 2007. (If you try the link to the GB, you'll be taken to Alex's good-bye message.) The news started to spread around through every Brazilian gaming forum. Now there are other gaming communities, but the GB was an amazing community. Many years, they even had a server crash or whatever once, but the GB managed to recover itself. Now, seriously, I don't want this to happen with this community. That is why the mods aremods, and must keep doing like this. As for the off-topic stuff, maybe we need another group besides General Discussion. I don't mean camp, but something like a place to talk about anything, like pets or polls, which have as a point the curiosity or humor. Since the camp dissapeared, General Discussion started to transform in the new camp. This must not happen. Also, I think that the rules must get updated in a few parts: For example add 'Instead of bumping a very old fangame post, it's better to create a new one'. And when new members register, they should receive through an email or PM all the rules, to avoid more trouble. As a last idea, I think that we need a 'New Members' sub-forum. This would be the place for introductions and welcome messages, since most new members register, and their first post is a request. With this sub-forum, new members will feel better, by posting for example their ideas, projects and specialties. Well, that's it. (I tried to make this as short as possible, really). Any other ideas people?
  10. For Sonic 2 I play as Sonic or Tails alone. But a long time ago, I played co-op mode with my brother, he controlled Tails in the Special stages. This way it was 10 times easier. Also, in most boss battles I just stayed in the edge of the screen while my brother was using the invincible Tails to beat up the bastards. As for S3, I prefer Tails (especially in Hydrocity!) Why the hell Sega can't do a game like these ones anymore!? Get a move on Sega!
  11. I do just like Kain, but with Audacity. This way I can edit the sounds easily.
  12. This technique is very useful for Emerald radars and sorta stuff. Very good! Rep+.
  13. Try checking your toolbar config in the Registry, sometimes it's related to these problems.
  14. That music problem is really stubborn. I think that this happens if you open the mfa with an older build. In the original engine, I checked the music events. There, in the little popup rectangle which shows the actions, there's an empty bullet. If you right click that, MMF2 crashes. This can be deleted with a left-click and the Del key. I wonder which action it is?
  15. You're right. I got these already, now I'm downloading the Credits music.
  16. Yesterday I digged through my 'storage room' (the laundry room actually) looking for my Genesis box. I found it after about 3 hours of searching. Everything was there: My Genesis, my Megadrive, the 2 original 3-button pads, some 6-button pads and my cartridges. There is a big difference when you play with an emulator and with the real console... Lastly, about at midnight, I shot some baddies in Lethal Enforcers, with the Justifier gun. What a good way to remember the dear Genesis! I'll do this every June 23rd and November 24th! I woke up just 2 hours ago. I'm really worn out. Happy Anniversary/Superversary/et ceteraversary, Sonic 2! I never had S&K Collection, so I don't know these tracks. I'm now downloading them from Galbadia Hotel. (LBZ really rocks by the way).
  17. I beat S3 when I was 5, if I remember correctly. Ah, with all the emeralds. So nice. (It's pretty late, gotta log out already. Bye, I'll log on back later).
  18. Your very first videogame... ...wow! The first console I've ever played is the Megadrive, when I was 3 years old. As for the first game, I can't remember but I think it was Sonic 3, the Sonic 1, and then Sonic 2. I can still remember these days... ...I could barely get through Angel Island when I was 3. Now I zoom through these levels. I like Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 (I never played SA2 though... I really want a PC version, dammit!), but SEGA will never bring back the classic elements. Thank god we have the SFGHQ and the various projects! Agree. GREAT system. Here's some technical info about it: http://www.digitpress.com/faq/megadrive.htm
  19. In a few secs, it'll be November 24th, the 15th anniversary of Sonic 2uesday. We're getting old. 15 years is a lot! I'm gonna play Sonic 2 now to remember the good old times... ...old times that I miss so much. Some links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonic_the_Hedgehog_2_%2816-bit%29 - Info about Sonic 2 http://www.s2beta.com/ - Info about the Nick Arcade and Beta versions. EDIT: It's November 24th already!
  20. Well, I'm thankful for my health, family, friends, and my PC.
  21. Thanks for that tip dark team. Some people also use Z-Share, which is pretty nice. http://www.zshare.net/
  22. @dark team: If you want to leave your game in the classic Genesis style (which I miss so much...) use the double attack. However, if you want to make your game a little more Adventure styled, go on with the homing attack. It's up to you, but I'd stay with the double attack.
