  1. What the fuck? Since when was 'Custom' defined as that?
  2. They're alright, but they could use some major tuning up in the anatomical department. Especially the shading too.
  3. In regards to that question, I think Duke Nukem 2 did that way before. (Not sure if there are others..) With the Flame Thrower weapon. =P
  4. And toning down the saturation/brightness of the grass. Way too bright.
  5. Gray or golden-ish brown. And before you even use it, flip the main body of the pillar. Obvious light source clash.
  6. Dithering won't work if it's a purely metallic object. Dithering, while it DOES create a buffer shade through optical illusion, adds an unwanted texture to metal that shouldn't be there.
  7. Honestly, the top and middle segment of the Flying Battery platform, excluding the middle bolt on the top, is completely none S3 like. Also, use s'more purple from the level itself.

  9. Actually Streak, every object gets darker the closer it is to you, and lighter the further it is. Just have your hand move towards your eye and away. You'll see. You'll see how even in fog, the background tends to become lighter and eventually 'merge' with it.

His legs are about the oddest things on the sprite, as is the conflicting light sources on his head, the frame of the TV could have better detailing, the ring inside could have better anti aliasing, and the wall he's running to needs to have an out dent to specify he's running to an actual 3dish wall, not a mere texture/pattern.
  11. No, I don't, I just see it as improperly thought selective outlining.
  12. Those light pixels on the darkest part of his horns have to go, they just seem to distract from the whole piece. Otherwise, those shades of dark cyan that I think I spot on him seem to work a bit badly in the function of making those segments darker.. Also, you need an additional shade between the almost black and the purple shades, that's some heavy contrast right there.

  16. Am I the only one who finds the unusual darkness of the trees a bit distracting or odd from the art piece? The level is SOMEWHAT bright, but then BAMF, in your face, a dark set of trees. Just.. Doesn't look right for some reason.
  17. The only problem I have is with his feet, seem a bit too point and could be 'pushed out' more. Otherwise, seems fine.
  18. Somewhat better now. Her fingers seem rather unrealistic, as does her right foot again (Looks like she's bending her foot from her toes up. Looks like it hurts a lot.). Try doing that pose yourself infront of a mirror or something, or have someone pose for you so you can get the anatomy right.
  19. You ought to get to work on fixing some of the anatomy problems there. Her feet just kinda jump out since they look wrong.
  20. There will be a time when your skills in pixel art shall warrant you less criticism, but for now, accept them and improve on to reach that time.
  21. At best, he either just has to lower Sonic's hands down, or lower the sprite down so his hands match the position of the handle bar better.
  22. Sonic's hand (farthest, again.) still seems quarky. And his shoe still seems larger and rounder than his other one. Most likely due to the stripe. Also, unless you really want to stick to the red-shoed Sonic, you can stick with his orange shoes. But otherwise, you got to get rid of the yellow (enables orange) tint on his shoes.
  23. fix his shoes. one is too big (closest) while the other is about right (the farthest, that is.), on the other hand (literally, the furthest.), it just seems.. odd, can't really say, improve the position of his hand, fingers and arm there more. also, give him more of a head, just a lil' bit.
