Internet censorship could spell the end of fangaming.

Haha that's awesome. So is the blackout that a lot of sites are doing still necessary? lol -

Free games are good to an extent. They can only be so good >_>. On another note, this bill disturbs me deeply. The fact that it's loosely worded kinda leads me to believe the intent isn't solely just to protect copyright. It's like they don't even care about the possible outcome? -
That's outstanding.

Found it, thanks man.

Quick question, why are there some objects that I am unable to move, edit, or even really touch at all in the frame editor?
-
Okay, this joint crashes upon selection of characters. Also, is this supposed to be a Sonic Advance version of the Sonic Worlds engine, or is it just a fan game with "Worlds" stuck at the end of the title?
-
I'd like to see something in the engine. It isn't a gimmick, but something that has to do with the physics engine itself, although I'm not sure if it's already implemented or feasible even at this point. As a kid, I would always jump at a certain angle while going on a loop to gain momentum. As far as I know, I haven't been able to do it any of the builds of worlds. It's seen in Nitsuja's TAS. Swag if you could take a look. Edit: Actually, never mind. It seems to be working in delta 1.2, although not as much momentum gained as I would like. I could probably tweak it in my own game.

Taxman, my dude, you did it! I knew immediately when they announced Sonic CD that it would be made with retro engine. It's days like today that I feel proud to be part of the community. I'm overwhelmed with hype right now.

Been gone a while. So what's it lookin like this year? -
Although you may feel it's unfair that you have to do this, when driving you have to drive for others. I have definitely saved myself from at least a dozen careless/crazy drivers, and I know there will be more close encounters. If you are going to be working soon, you have to bite the bullet and get a car. But if you plan on staying home for a while and working in your town, walking/public trans/getting rides isn't a bad option. With gas prices, more young drivers and responsibility for car maintenance, it is too much of an investment for some people. I recommend getting the car, but it's really up to you and your lifestyle. Edit: I misread the OP. You should absolutely get a lisence. Afterward, you don't have to drive and you can just ignore that you have it if you want, but absolutely get one whether you plan to be a pedestrian or not.

That's actually one of the only sonic commercials I like. Sonic doesn't have good commercials. The rest are just average/bad. This one is so bad, that it grows on you.

The Globe - (Fan) Gaming Interaction Application
flame6753 replied to luksamuk's topic in Game Creation Research & Discussion
Oh, by applet I meant like will it be embedded on a web page like flash or java and require log in to a server. But Application sounds beast. -

I like the idea. I had a similar idea a while back. Will the globe be an application or an applet? -
Sonic Before The Sequel - New Video: Lost Levels Zone

Yeah I didn't have any framerate issues either. I have a fast computer though, so I might have to try it on my older computer to see if it lags at that part. -

I'm officially a fan of this Keep it up. It's refreshing to see new users come out with quality work. -
Most of you, I'm sure, already know about the flash exporter available for TGF 2 and MMF2. Most recently, they have released a free version of The Games Factory 2 that will allow you to export your MFA's exclusively to Newgrounds. This is a good start for new users to fangaming or to this forum to try out MMF and be able to publish their own games for free. The catch is that the SWF files will only work on Newgrounds and not their own personal web pages. For most of us, we won't find any use of this, but I'm posting this for anyone new or who is interested. http://www.newgrounds.com/wiki/creator-resources/game-dev-resources/the-games-factory-2

So I got the Wii version today and played through it guys. I am not going to elaborate on the game, since I don't care about it. I will say that it's not better than the Wii version for unleashed. They are equal if this game not being slightly worse. Even my kid brother's first words when letting him play (without me saying anything) were "horrible gravity" "terrible controls". They could add 1000 alternate paths, but you can beat it by holding on right/forward and jumping when you see fit. I didn't enjoy sonic 4 all that much, and I think Sonic 4 is a lot more fun than this.

Minecraft: Come Play With Us!
flame6753 replied to Perfect Chaos Zero's topic in Video Game Discussion
Are you ready for this? -
Also, do not force full screen. We hate that lol. Make the normal resolution the default size and have the user select between full screen or windowed.
-
Nice, I'll test this out later today.

Those screen shots and visual effects are really impressive, and I'm sure the game will play good as well. Keep us updated.
