  5. But it doesn't make much sense and it really doesn't work as those enemies don't fight back much. They're just there.
  6. Hey man after further playing.... 1. Some loops tend to glitch out or be unsmooth 2. Enemies shouldn't take more than a hit really since they shouldn't be treated like bosses. Hope you can fix these, good luck!
  7. Oh my god! What did you use to make this game? This is so fluid and really great. The game flows great and could even work as an engine for an Advance game with some modifications. It's great you're taking a simplistic approach with this game as most fangames are overly ambitious. I do recommend you try to get a more cool and stylish HUD to send across the stylish feel of the game! Good luck on all your projects! Do ask me if you need music on your upcoming projects! EDIT: Those were my first impressions.
  8. The stage is very vibrant and is a nice take on the harbour trope. I gotta say tho, the 2D section isn't too good but I can't really explain how. Might help if you could make the background in that section look pretty cos it looks really eh right now. The huge loop in the 2D could use a more dynamic camera. Also protip, avoid using too much dash rings like around 3:03, it gets a bit irritating. Great first attempt and all the best! Wish I could make fangames and such

  10. Hey Lake, looks great! But I think you've gone back to the 'Cyan City' problem of having too much distraction. It's beautiful to look at but there's too much to look at in the screenshot. My suggestions would be to not have so much cones at the back, decrease the brightness of the pink thing on the left, since it's not a main platform and increase the grass' brightness. Hope ya take it into consideration!

  12. Now we had TwilightZoney's port posted to the front page. This really bugs me. This is SFGHQ/United. A fangame centered site. And we're posting a community work unrelated to that on the front page when it's just a WIP. (strong gust did you do it just cos sweet mountain lol) Don't get me wrong, I like Zoney and his works, I'm pretty eager too but this doesn't seem to stick right with me. Instead something like Wednesday Works or Showcase Saturday could work! This would allow people to send in their works and random unrelated to be posted without being too odd. So yeah, a suggestion!   17. Salom Adventure. http://www.sonicfangameshq.com/forum/showthread.php?p=161731 Three words to summarise it? Gameplay. Music. Polish. Okay and fancharacters. BUT WAIT. These fancharacters, for this game, they're just like skins. They play exactly like you would think of Sonic and Shadow to play... in a fusion of Classic (as in 1-3&K) and Modern (as in Rush series) gameplay. And trust me, it's polished as hell and this gameplay fusion works really well. GAMEPLAY Your moveset ranges from Chaos Spears with Vermin/Shadow and Spindash with Salom/Sonic. It all blends really well and actually fit's the game's subtitle "The Flow of the Wind". It's very obvious this custom engine is full of effort. The level design, while it may be hard, it always make you keep trying to do better and even when it seems like you're stuck, there's a way out. The flow is really kept through the stage as long as you know what you're doing, a formula introduced by the Classics, improved by this game with its fusion with the Rush gameplay formula. Now why talk when I can show you?! Yup, this game even has Green Hill and Radical Highway as bonuses! The game is loaded with extra content too, for a demo at that. There's this Arcade Center and there's a number of minigames. 6 if I am not wrong. MUSIC You know, the Arcade? I composed a song for the second set. The OST is filled with house and DnB, with touches of trance and other genres. In my opinion, it really works well with the game and it shows a new perspective of how basing the soundtrack on the game's feel mostly instead of specific levels can still keep it fresh. ART Most of the art here is made by Nefault1st, with help from Lyoko Blight and Jotex. It really feel Sonicy and has a polished look. As I'm not a huge artist, I have no idea how to expand this section, I'm sorry :V FINAL THOUGHTS It's a good game hidden behind fancharacters. It really is. I hope you guys get behind it and play the game and do listen to its awesome OST. Gameplay: 8.5/10 Music: 8/10 Art: 7.5/10 Others: 6/10 Final Score: 7.5/10 Rating: Awesome!   22. Sorry guys, just a bit of a heads-up. I'm having life problems now, I'll be taking a break from this and I'd honestly like to wish you guys the best. Honestly, from the start, I just wanted to help Lone with this. This was too 'BtS rip off' for my likes D: I might not return so just take up my stuff, but I'll finish up Raindrop Ruins Act 2 and Green Gate Act 1 (talked to Lone about it) and prolly some other Act 3 and just let you guys have my completed boss.
