Maybe we should hire one.......

It kills my eyes though and doesn't really looks right. It's like if Sonic XG's Sonic Sprites were blured. That'd put you off. *lol XG reference*

Sonic Adventure AlonGames 3d Sonic engine, a WIP
Death_Daniel replied to Alonguy's topic in Game Project Showcase
For a beginner thats pretty good progress, good job Alonguy -
Ah, cool. Please can you also fix anything that is slightly blured make it sharp like the real games. Take the titlescreen for example.
-
By the way, the green grass on this screenshot needs to math the tree's green. I personally, think it looks rather dull with the tone of green it currently has.

Don't know if anyone has noticed but in one of the levels, if you finish it, even though you're not in the water, I'm guessing sonicworlds uses weird collisions however you start drowning and die before the score is finished. However, I found a bubble sheild in the level somewere and that stopped it but the warning sound still played, the "DingDing!" sound. I really enojyed the graphics however with what has been said above, I have the say with some of the graphics is extreamly blured. This ruined the titlescreen for me and It looks like you mega resized it to fit a 320x240 screen. I really liked the music, seemed to fit well, Did you make them yourself? The levels were quite good, you had an element of variety which is a excellent feature, however their are some things which need fixing, small little bugs and placment of objects. Sometime i can't get past a spike without hitting it. Overall, I enjoyed this demo. It definatly has potential but it just needs a few fixes here and their, including presentation as i stated above. The Titlescreen being an example of this issue.

Sonic Time Twisted Information Station (New Video) June 6
Death_Daniel replied to OverbounD's topic in Game Project Showcase
It's quite a hard thing to shade. Especialy when you might have a pattern in mind. -
I know this is a bump but it's kinda relevant, Where can I get this build of SonicDash?

That pink pipe is un-finished right? -
What programm are you using to create thease?

If Someone was to make a tutorial on Angled attacks like Boss Hits and Such as the example in this topic that would be very helpfull to alot of people I think.
-
Video would be most appropriate since I think we probably all want to see gameplay/footage of the thew SSK.
-
It looks easier in some aspects of in other words the editing and detail. Like sprites, it has to be precise and have small space to work with but also as mensioned it's bigger, better and editable.

Interesting pattern but needs a element of "variety", however nice colour. -
I like the pose and style you put together. Forget what I said about smoothness. If it needs smoothing out obviously you can sort it but it isn't important at all. I love the animation and I can't wait to see more.

For the art style i think it may need to be a bit smoother. However it is really nice. I wish I could draw like that : o

(GML)Make Rolling not effected by Image_Angle
Death_Daniel replied to trublu45458's topic in Game Project Assistance
I think he definatly means not for it to rotate when on a loop or a angle greater than or lower than 0 degrees. Since most of us aren't GM experts I would recommend you posted this same topic on GameMaker Forums which can be found here : http://gmc.yoyogames.com/ . There is always someone who can help and knows exacly what you want. If this was MMF2 I'd probably say you'd have to find the command or line which makes him do this action and then try to make it so when it's active + touching the floor = make sonics angle 0 degrees. I'm not sure how it exacly works in GM but I have a feeling it's the same idea. PS: I'm not trying to draw him away from this forum, just suggestion more help. -
Sometimes if Persective isn't the same size as you're frame window black wars and pixels appear. Try making it the window size of you're game and see if there is any difference on that matter. Second, regarding you're positioning I think that it has something to do with positioning it at XFloat of the water itself and somehow making it scroll. I haven't attempted this myself but I'm sure with tinkering and a few tips you could accomplish this. I also know that Felik made it in his rather impressive project called SonicFusion. I will search for you around the web and If I find something that can help you I will show it to you here. Best of luck with this by the way, I really like this project. I don't like genesis as much as Advance styled projects but I always have had a soft side for retroness. : 3

You could try chaning the resolution to something like 320 x 240 and it should be perfect fit on the screen but you can always experiment.

Bump!

Actualy no, It's the Damizean and RC engine with the Sonic3 ablitys engine ported to mmf2. I know this because you can see he copied over the values objects to port them and the names are the same like Spindash revs and Actions and ECT.
-
MMF2-360Base Engine for MMF2. Basicaly Like SonicWorlds but More stripped, glitchier and simpler. Damizean made it a long time ago. I beleive it was the PURE base for SonicWorlds.

Hey, I want to make the boost object behave the same as the one from SonicRush however. I have no idea how to go about this. Any suggesitons? Oh and whats the easiest way to make angle retract as in were you are 90 degrees you go up in the air and smoothly rotate to 0 again. How is this done? Thanks In advance!
