  1. Ha! Hate to burst your bubble but Macs are notoriously bad at running fangames. Or games in general for that matter.
  2. Yeah of course man! I keep every fangame I download so if you ever want anything give me a shout. I started a topic a while back that has all the old stuff I have on it available for download but I don't think your demo is amongst it because it was fairly new at the time. Also that Metal Sonic sprite looks brilliant.
  3. Nice to see this project is still kicking! Makes me want to go and play the old demo again
  4. Just want to say that I had a muck around with the demo last night and think you've done a fantastic job with this. The stages have a great flow and a really chunky, cartoony look to them which is refreshing to see. The only advice I can give graphics-wise is probably not to use so much dark blue in the background; it kinda cheapens things. I also agree that Modern Sonic can be a bit odd to control mainly due to the unreliability of the homing attack lock. Otherwise a really impressive effort and I'm hoping to see more! You've got a fantastic project on your hands here!
  5. The second is definitely the least strenuous on the eyes.
  6. Really excited to see this come back. Emerald Ties was always a stand-out title at SAGE and it's looking even better now. Proper happy to see you guys back with renewed interest in the game. You have something special here!
  7. I am hugely impressed by this man. I went and featured it on SEGADriven: http://www.segadriven.com/2012/02/fan-scene-blue-spheres-forever-fan-game-looks-incredible/
  8. I saw this in Japanese in the cinema first and when it came out on DVD I rewatched with the English dub and it's actually very good. The choice of voice actors matches the Japanese voices very closely. So if you watch it, it's basically your preference.
  9. Good beta! Obviously it would be nicer with original graphics but that obviously comes next. Two things though: 1) I used the stomp attack on an enemy and I still lost my rings 2) The fire shield makes it very difficult to see Sonic, I would soften the effect
  10. Lake is the god-damn Sonic fangaming saviour. Also featured at SEGADriven.com: http://sega.sonicstadium.org/2012/01/06/sonic-after-the-sequel-demo-released/
  11. Hope everyone had a good Christmas! I got: Black Flag - The First Four Years The Goon Show volumes 2, 26 and 27 Bill Bailey's Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra Not The Messiah: He's A Very Naughty Boy Chocs/Sweets Money
  12. Holy crapoly that looks lovely. Does this project have a name?
  13. Working on a sequel already!? God damn, Lake is like a fangaming GOD.
  14. 5 games I absolutely sodding loved this year (no particular order): 1) El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron The only game I was compelled to complete all year. Great action, awesome weapon stealing mechanic and some of the most bonkers visuals I've ever seen in a video game. Well worth playing. 2) Daytona USA 18 years and they finally got it right. This is THE home console version of Daytona USA and it actually manages to still be awesome fun after all these years. 3) Sonic Generations Screw the haters, I had so much fun with this game. It might be superficial fun through the rose-tinted glasses of nostalgia but it still ticked all the boxes for me. Sure, Classic Sonic controls a bit odd but it never really spoiled the game for me. 4) Shadows of the Damned It's fucking Suda 51 and he's fucking back to make his characters say fuck a lot. You also walk across a giant stripper's breasts in order to cross a path you couldn't without her. 'Nuff said. 5) DiRT 3 Played this A LOT this year. Love my off road racers and this would be the best game in the series if it wasn't for those stupid gymkhana events. YEAH AWESOME RADICAL. 5 games that were genuinely disappointing: 1) Duke Nukem Forever (and FPSs in general) I own this because I have to own this. It's a piece of gaming history. However, it's not a piece of gaming history for being a good game. In fact, I don't even know if it's a bad game. IT'S JUST LIKE EVERY BLOODY FPS RELEASED IN THIS DAY AND AGE. How anyone can stay interested in FPSs is beyond me. 2) Minecraft (and my crappy laptop) I want to love this game I really do. And I used to at one point. But as the updates have been coming it has now got to a point where it runs like absolute gash on my crappy laptop and I can no longer enjoy it. 3) Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Another game I really want to love. The visuals are awesome and I love the rotoscoped sprite animation, but the fact it was being plugged as this amazingly unique experience does not cover the fact that it's just a point and click game. Yeah I can't think of anymore. I tend to avoid buying shit games.
  15. I like the first. @Strife I like some moss but it needs to be darker like the first. The light coloured moss looks too much like it's supposed to be transparent like when you get the bright colour on spritesheets so you know where to make the transparency.
  16. Really liking the Palmtree Paradise act 1 video. You actually made an original looking Advance fangame! Well done! Also, the SA2 badnik splat sound effect brings back memories of old fangames that ALWAYS used to use it. I still think it sounds a bit odd and I'd personally stick with the 16 bit badnik pop sound but whatever floats your boat. Liking the wind shield that destroys enemies that are underneath you as well. So far so good!
  17. Definitely liking the pillars better. I'm also in agreement with Pedro; the way the ice stops on the roof is to sudden. You should find a way to make it end more naturally.
  18. Chaotix? I'm not too sure I like the very tight diamond design on the wall. Quite harsh on the eyes. Also, does this mean Emerald Ties is still in development!?
  19. I think I know who you're referring to in regards to the "Sonic Worlds with different graphics" comment and I'd like to personally see to it that the comment is debunked. An engine is an engine; a tool to create a game. People aren't just dumping in any old sprites and graphics and calling it a fan game; they're painstakingly developing their own stages with unique aesthetics and gimmicks and putting a fresh spin on a tried and tested formula. I'm very fond of where 2D fan games are now. Some of the projects I'm seeing either now or earlier at this year's SAGE are really, really good and it's great to see Worlds so widely used as it's one of the best tools out there for making enjoyable Sonic fan games. Arguably, the next big leap for fangaming is getting a decent 3D engine up and running and seeing a game get released using it. Sonic GDK is getting close and I'd be massively supportive of any game that was released using it.
  20. If I push this comment to its' extremes, you've basically just said "If you don't like me murdering people then give me a million quid and I'll stop". Seriously, why does it fucking matter that you need your birthday recognised by some guys/gals (probably guys) on the internet? Also go and play Sonic Classic and Eggman Hates Furries.
  21. A load of old Saturn and Dreamcast stuff mainly. This includes: Capcom Vs SNK Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 Beyond Oasis 2 Street Fighter Alpha
