There's so many ways to play! Speedrun! Take the challenging route, find hidden goodies you missed your first 400 times through, play WITHOUT the emeralds *I usually play as tails so I do skip the emeralds a lot* and w/ sonic the bad ending is better anyway according to somecallmejohnny (and me). Even seeing past nostalgia glasses, this game is still fun to co-op with younger cousins who suck at it! One person takes care of hazards and collecting hard rings and the novice can get through it until sky chase. I think it's only boring if you take the same route every freakin time.
